LACK OF WIDTH
I do agree with this.greasedupdeafguy said:LACK OF WIDTH
Agree with that, people forget how poor we were in some matches like against Swansea, Arsenal, Everton etc.Caveman said:We're playing no worse than we were between December and April last season.

Also an overbalanced in the squad in midfield of defensive players to attacking creative players. We have Yaya Milner Barry García Rodwell and Razak (six) for two positions in the XI, and Silva Nasri Sinclair and Suarez (four) for two or three positions in the XI.
I look at all of the other top sides in Europe (Barça München Dortmund Madrid and Juve) and none of them use four strikers on rotation like we do. But they do have lots of pace and width and a greater abundance of attacking/creative midfielders.

You should re-phrase that the the first two months of last season. After the wins at Spurs and Man Utd, teams learned that it was suicide to go toe to toe and now all coaches change tactics for Manchester City games
Games are dictated not just by MCFC but by the tactics and approach of the opponents.
We had these topics in the latter part of last season too.
I defy any team to play flowing football against the likes of an Everton team intent on winning free-kick after free-kick and whose priority is to shut down the space and stop City playing. In these games you have to score first, and even then the opponents will still more than likely stick to their strategy
We're playing very well in my view. The art of winning the title is not to play at 100% every week, but to do enough to win so that come February and March you still have something left in the tank. It's a marathon.

Er, 6-1 at the swamp? Breathtaking counter attacking goals.
And what about that sublime Dzeko - AJ - Aguero counter attack against Arsenal?
We CAN do it, but for some reason we chose to just dick about most of the time. I have no clue why.
