Why we mustn't let the 'new Frank Lampard' go .......

The article on Lampard states

"Ranieri’s genius was in spotting that Lampard had the attitude and ability..."

Ireland has the ability. The question is does Ireland have the attitude?

Over to you Stevie...
Exactly. Clement Attlee once turned down a Labour MP recommended for promotion to ministerial rank saying. "Not a question of ability. Character is the problem there."

Steven Ireland isn't in the same class at Lampard. He's good, but not good enough and his attitude is poor.

Lampard is an exceptional player ...... but you have to bear in mind that he's 31 , and Stephen Ireland is only 23.

Lampard joined Chelsea when he was about 22/23 years old ..... prior to that his strike rate from midfield , whilst at West Ham , was very similar to Irelands present goal ratio from midfield here at City ...... Irelands best years are probably ahead of him , Lampards probably aren't.

Ireland has the potential , no doubt about that ... but he needs to make sure he produces the goods from here on ....... if he gets the chance!

are you on drugs pal Ireland's a average player at best i think its about time we took of are blue tinted glasses to realise that some of these kids we have brought through are not good enough to take us where we are going

Article is spot on. Stevie showed last year what he is capable of and if we don't manage to get the best out of him some other club will. I pray to god we are not stupid enough to let him go the shite down the road

Yer can't have the season Stevie had last year if it's not in to start with. We can't let him go to some other team and find within a couple of games he's back to where he was. MCFC get it sorted.

stephen ireland isn't in jimmy bullards class, at least jimmy, when fit, is consistent.
This is the problem with Ireland in general, believes his own hype and isn't prepared to put in the graft when the chips are down. Abysmal season from start to finish, bolloxs to this out of position notion, the lad should of been going all out to impress the new manager but instead started his usual bull shit excuses.......... heart scare my arse.

yup, that's the first that struck me from the article. he has the ability, but we know attitude is a problem.

Exactly. The idea that he has only had one good season as well is bollox. Last season was indeed exceptional but prior to that he had always been a good young player with bag loads of potential despite what some of the boo boys might say. Its not a case of 1 good year and 4 years of shite at all.

Completely fictitious post...could probably win a first year creative writing contest.

Agree. He has had a bad season but that doesn't mean we should get rid. Give him another chance next season to prove himself.

Also why is everyone saying he has a bad attitude? Because he has a weird choice for cars?

i may be wrong here but was his brilliant season nat attributed 2 his attitude and the amount of extra work he was doing away from the club. does that not show that he does have the attitude 2 make it?
