Why we mustn't let the 'new Frank Lampard' go .......

are you on drugs pal Ireland's a average player at best i think its about time we took of are blue tinted glasses to realise that some of these kids we have brought through are not good enough to take us where we are going

He's had below average performances but above average ability (by far). He has more natural talent in him than 95% of the players in this league. Talent doesn't always get converted into being a great player, but he has shown that he can do it.

Worth keeping for me, we have nothing to lose by it. He has the potential still to be an extremely good player.

i may be wrong here but was his brilliant season nat attributed 2 his attitude and the amount of extra work he was doing away from the club. does that not show that he does have the attitude 2 make it?
all that extra hard work was admirable and it showed he was dedicated but that was when he was guaranteed a place, the team was nearly built around him. the minute he felt something was up, he changed and went into his shell. if he did move to OT, there's no way he'd going to be the star of their team (which he craves i think) and therefore i think he'll adopt the same attitude he has adopted since Roberto came in. he needs to be a bit braver, a bit more courageous, a bit more honest, a bit more understanding, and a bit more patient.

Article is spot on. Stevie showed last year what he is capable of and if we don't manage to get the best out of him some other club will. I pray to god we are not stupid enough to let him go the shite down the road

Yer can't have the season Stevie had last year if it's not in to start with. We can't let him go to some other team and find within a couple of games he's back to where he was. MCFC get it sorted.

Why not we did the same with Richard Dunne? One bad season and he`s out, only to make it tothe PFA team, But hey we signed Toure for twice as much..............

Since when did Ireland have a bad attitude?

I remember at the beginning of the season everyone was buzzing about him doing his personal training and saying how brilliant his attitude is.

I don't think he's got a bad attitude at all, he acts a little strange and has an awful taste in cars but I'd hardly say he's got a bad attitude like your Anelka's, Robinho's of this world.

Blimey, I like Stevie & I can't stand Lumpard, but I don't think Stevie will ever be as good as him.
Even in his one outstanding season, he did not score even half the goals that Lampard gets every season.

he scored 13? Before last season Frank scored an average of 20? Ireland doesn't take penalties? Lampard does? Lampard didn't score 20 a season when he was Irelands age?
