Why we will win the league!

Of the last 14 games does anyone know how many times we have played after them. In fact how many times all season have we played after them. TV fixtures seem to have fallen kindly for them this season, not that in any way am I suggesting that Sky and BT have manipulated the fixtures. Perish the thought.

Bizarre to think that after the Newcastle game had you said we need to win every game until to the end of the season to win the league, the response would have been either we won't need to win 14 straight games or there's no chance we can do that. We are on course for that. Remarkable on both counts.

I said after the Newcastle game that we’d have to win every game. Didn’t see this coming, it’s been an amazing run. Particularly the goals against column

Don’t want to be a doom and gloom merchant but still two games to go anything can happen pressure does strange things, hopefully that pressure tells on the scousers though and not us,or we hopefully win our two remaining games but it’s still one game at a time ..
The scousers aren't under anything like the same pressure however. For one, they know that if they win their remaining games, they probably still won't win the league. So in a way, win, lose or draw and it makes no difference for them. On the other hand, we will feel like even the tiniest slip and we hand Liverpool the title.

Second, no-one is really expecting Liverpool to win it. The pundits are already changing their tune, along the lines of "Liverpool can be proud of their incredible achievement anyway". They've factored in not winning it already, which again takes the pressure off.

This being the case, I would be staggered if they don't win their last two. We just need to make sure we win ours.

Walking out of St James Park that night most around me were in agreement that we’d blown it. Incredible run of form since

It's been a pleasure watching us over these last few months. But waiting for City to drop points - any points - week after week after week since January has been incredibly infuriating. I can think of examples of every top side in every other league where the leaders have dropped points. Even lost. Even PSG and Juventus have lost and drawn games in leagues where they have absolutely no competition. Bayern fucked it today as well against a poor side. And yet City have not dropped even a single point in the run in. Not one. Fuck me, the one season where that happens is the one season where we're chasing them.

Enjoyed that read LOL
Thick twat, doesn't he know it's impossible to drop one point.

This could be an interesting week ahead now, we get to rest for 8 days while the dippers have to travel and play Barca next Wednesday, if they can come away with any sort of positive result there must be a temptation to rest a couple of players against the Barcodes so they are available for the return leg, if they are a couple down then even better.
No chance Klipperty is playing a weakened squad v Newcastle

I'd agree but after possibly playing his first 11 against Barca, Toon & Barca again they could be in shit street on the final day v Wolves.

For what it's worth can't see us dropping points so it's all piss & wind anyway. Think going out of the CL will ultimately be the reason we are in such a strong position for the quad.

We have to beat Leicester regardless. We shouldn't even bother thinking about Liverpool. It is irrelevant. It only becomes relevant if we don't beat Leicester. They have played a hell of a lot of minutes. Way more than our players. They are a talented 12-14 players but not as talented a squad. Despite early exits in the domestic cups their key players have still played far more than ours. They will have to work their socks off against Barca and to then play Newcastle away and Wolves at home is incredibly tough with so much at stake. It is a shame we don't play first this weekend. If we beat Leicester before they played I think they would throw in the towel and concentrate on the second leg with Barca.
