Why we will win the league!

The fact that we lost to Palace, Leicester & Newcastle ... and their lead at the top was ended by Leicester & West Ham ... shows that anything could yet happen.

But sending them to OT knowing that if they lose, we are truly ahead of them, lays down a huge marker / piles the pressure on.

I'd make us slight favourites now, but just one unexpected result can swap it back again ... so come on, City ! Every game has to be treated as a Cup Final from here on in !

Even if we don’t win it - the team have done us proud.

That said - don’t dare not win it City!

If that lot can do us a favour then I think we'll do it.

This last week has worked out brilliantly ... they'd now have to watch the table with us sitting on top (and a constant reminder of how we've got there, not just the Chelsea thrashing but the whole week leading up to this, since Newcastle when they were almost celebrating running away with the league even before playing Leicester at home) ... and now to this ... let them fret over their game in hand, which is coming up against the Scum AWAY ... no pressure eh ;)

And the cups they f' offed means no games as a distraction for them either ... just to wait now (and watch the premier league table :)

You mean return the favour? ... What we have done to Arsenal and Chelsea last week has surely given them a chance to get into the top 4 now ... and for that reason alone (making to CL spaces) they'd be well up for it!

Wonder what Klopp and their team are feeling at the moment? They thought they were running away with it by New Year’s Eve, now they are 2nd albeit with a game in hand. They look vulnerable away from home and the free flowing football looks like it’s starting to dry up.

Then you look at City, they’ve coasted through some games like the Newcastle game and been caught out, then it looks like a switch has been flicked on and suddenly they aren’t dicking about and going for the jugular.

All the weight and expectation of delivering a title since 1990 just got a whole lot worse as they have given it up from much better positions than this but they are facing probably the best team in English football in its entire history.

They’ll feel like a gay gazelle being chased by a pack of feral lions who haven’t had a scran for a week.
