Why we will win the league!

We need to start games fast out of the traps and get the early goal like we used to. Get to half time nil nil is a bloody awful situation to be in. It gives the opposition something to hang on to and then it’s panic football. The way our form is right now and with the dippers machine just rolling along nicely you wouldn’t put money on us seeing out the season on top. In fact Its incredible that we’re still top right now given that we don’t have a striker. Playing like that can’t last forever BUT if we have any hope at all we have to start games quickly and get that early goal none of this tippy tappy passing around.

Reasons we’ll win it
- we have an easier run in
- we play them at home
- we’ve been here before and always come out on top
- we are under less pressure to win it than they are
- form and luck can change in an instant and it’s due to change in our favour
- our players should be fresher as bingo thrashes their players to death
Thank you mate for posting a bit of common sense and mild optimism amid an avalanche of knicker wetting flappery

We’re the favourites and rightly so. They would love to be one point clear and due to play us at Anfield. 9 games to go and City are top of the league - you couldn’t ask for anymore than that

Yes, we always dominate.

I meant in must-win games, knock-out stages etc. Is it a pure coincidence he hasn't won the CL in 11 years despite having what's regarded as the best side for several of those years, and a competitive one for all of them? It's starting to look like a pattern. Whilst he's brilliant at getting the whole squad playing interchangeably and able to manage injuries and suspensions over a while season - his in-game tactics are often questionable or just downright bizarre. I mean just look at that shit show of a CL final. Or the travesty against Lyon FFS. Or Liverpool the year before. Or Spurs before that. Its serial balls ups in crucial games.

For me that's rubbish. Easy to highlight the odd game (not saying I dont agree he messed up in certain games) but look at the big games he's won with his in game tactics as you put it.

In our current situation and squad, would you swap pep for any other manager?

On current form burnley will be a tough win. It all depends on which city turns up? We look tired. Passing and finishing is off leading to an abundance of chances for the opposition.

As it stands today, Liverpool are flying and we seem to be floundering but you can never write off pep and the players. We won’t give it up easy. My only hope is that we now move up a gear and see the season out. Our current form is not good enough and won’t be enough to win the league bar a Liverpool collapse.

We all knew it was not done. No flapping, no happy clapping in January’s was going to change that fact.

Game on. Come on City.

I honestly think the best think that could happen to us at the moment is losing our place at the top of the league, I think the pressure valve being released and transferred to Liverpool would benefit us. Liverpool seem to have an even deeper squad than us so this one really is going to the wire. We have to get past the Wolves game unscathed.

Not winning it.

Liverpool have all the momentum.

As much as I was annoyed about Palace, it’s the Spurs game that killed us. Can’t concede after scoring last minute.

Horrendous job seeing out an 8 point gap.
An 8 point gap is fuck all, I wish people would stop bringing it up. We built that lead over Liverpool and Chelsea over the space of couple weeks around Christmas time. All it takes is a few draws and a loss and for Liverpool to go on a big winning run. We’re the two best teams in the country and the only teams capable of going on long winning runs.

I’ll admit that I’m not to confident going into the run in, but I’m not doubting this City team. Assuming we both win our next games, Liverpool have to beat us at the etihad to properly gain the league. We’ve had the better of them over the past couple of years and our record against the big clubs this season is good. There’s going to be lots of medical emergencies stops at the etihad in a few weeks, my heart is flickering already.

We had an 8-12 point gap, but never had one tbf, liverpool had 4 games in hand at one point and were always too good a team not to points from them.

We haven't been chased down similar to what we did before, liverpool have just caught up by completing their fixtures.

The season was alway gonna be decided by a few points or goal difference, we match the scouse results we win, and we are more than capable of doing that
