Why we will win the league!

International break coming at a good time for us. I'm not overly confident, nor resigned to them winning. Will be hard to tell until we see what city comes back from the break.

Last night was very demoralising. The last few times I've watched them I have not seen them play particularly well at all and they don't look anything special as a team, but they still keep winning comfortably.

When it all clicks with us we are a great team, it doesn't need to click with them, that's the difference. We are easily capable of beating them but as others have said, they are probably less likely to drop points after that than we are.

Someone please go find out what’s the longest winning run scousers have gone on in the Premier League … not unbeaten run, not an Anfield run but one that includes back to back to back wins only … and then figure out how many league games on the trot (including current run) they need to win to win this title?

Then calm down … we’re winning this league, not them!
18 in a row - the same as us. They're currently on 9 in a row with 9 games left to play. They win their 9 remaining games and they win the league and match that 18 game winning streak held by both us and them, regardless of what we do.

What was the question again?

If we draw with Liverpool & win the others, we can't be caught. And we are clearly capable of doing that. We will doubtless have the possession & chances to do it comfortably.

The problem, as always, will be the (lack of) finishing; we had 32 chances (home & away) v Palace this season, and took none of them. Will the same happen in one or two of our remaining games ? Very possibly, but fingers crossed it doesn't & we get across the line.

Some absolute fannies in here. We’ve won 16 out of 19 games and lost 1 game since October. They think it should all be a cake walk and don’t want the fight. The best titles are won when it’s neck and neck.

City and Liverpool are both great teams. All it takes is 2-3 off results for a lead to be gone and it’s only natural both sides will have mini blips since no team can win forever. They had their drop in December, we’ve had ours over the last month. It’s swings and roundabouts.

Not only that but this kind of title race is better for our CL hopes. When we played Chelsea in the final it had been weeks since our strongest side had played because we’d won the league so early.

Personally I’m excited to confront Liverpool at our place. It’s like a rematch from 2019 which was one of the best atmospheres we’ve had in the modern era. I’m up for that just like I was then.

Ask any dipper fan would you rather be 1 point behind and have to go to the team who are above you or be 1 point in front and have to play the team just below you at home..
I know which I would prefer..
