They were killer results. 9 points tossed away from winning positions.
 
Between now and the end of the month, Liverpool have 4 league games, we only play 2 more. So they have an opportunity to open up a 4 point gap (assuming we can beat Watford). I think we probably need them to drop some points this month.

I think we can be a bit more confident than that. 27pts to play for and Liverpool with 30pts to play for but 2pts behind. 1pt in it with that many available and it doesn't matter about anything other than winning our next game.

If they move 4pts clear but we have games in hand it doesn't matter. Regardless of when we play we have to win now. I fully agree with Shearer when he says April is when the pressure hits home. Right now you can only lose the title, neither team has it in sight yet. But post-International break and into April, if Liverpool are still top they will begin to taste it and they will begin to really feel that pressure. That's when it really gets tough.

We at least have other competitions to break up that pressure but help keep the winning habit going.

They gave the trophy to Liverpool when they went 7 points clear with a game in hand or whatever it was they had.

Hopefully, they end up with the slippy cup again.
 
Todays win and going top again makes me feel like we won’t let this lead go as it’s a fantastic recovery from 7 points behind a month ago.Psychologically it could prove very important to nudge ahead just before one of there harder fixtures..come on Everton.

It won’t be that simple I don’t think but hope so!
 
Today was an important win for us and this was underlined by peps reaction. Of course it clearly wasn’t one of our best performances as he said in the after match presser but I believe it was one of our most significant performances....perhaps we can let him off for not having a grasp of English articulation to make the distinction between best and significant.

Over to you Everton, show us the way..
 
Since when did Everton ever give Liverpool a game? I don’t recall many and every single big decision in Merseyside Derbies always goes to the Red Dippers.... I’d love Everton to turn them over but it won’t happen.

Pool only won one of the last seven away derbies....the rest were all draws. So whilst Everton haven’t been great, they haven’t rolled over either.
