Why we will win the league!

It would appear that it may come down to OT. Last season City failed to clinch at OT while largely dominating, this time they will obviously need the 3 pts. City will be coming off 4 days rest after playing Spurs at home while United will have 3 after visiting Goodison Park. Only bogey match for Liverpool that stands out is the last game of the season at home to Wolves by which time it may be academic

No, we weren't at OT. We were at our place when we failed to clinch it. This is a beautiful opportunity to do exactly that.

(To all those who liked my earlier post, cheers. I just call it as I see it. I try not to do too much whistling in the dark. But we are a very, very good team, with class all over the pitch).

Win against Spurs and United in the PL and Liverpool will collapse. Their expectation is that we will drop points against either of the two (even both). If we take that away from them I can't see them handling the pressure. Salah's comments about winning their last 4 games wins them the league is a clear indication of this.

We are the only team who has the league in our own hands, nobody else. Scouse twats need us to fuck up, we won't. I posted back in January that we would need in excess of 96 points to win the league - just wish I knew the lottery numbers.

United also have Chelsea a few days after which is a huge game for them now.

Doubt they will collapse this season tbh. The indications are that we have to win every game. People have been predicting they will drop points for weeks now and they haven't. It is in our hands but even a draw for either team will probably be fatal at this stage.

We need 9 points from our remaining games to make it the best title defence in history.
It would be billed as a failure tough if we weren't to win it, even if we defend the title with a record points total for a title defence it won't be as good as the rags or liverpools defence of the league with 80 odd points.

Cardiff can’t be relegated tomorrow, mate.

They’re on 28 with 5 to play. Even if they lose, they can still get to 40 points. Brighton win, they go to 36.

Cardiff will have it all to play for at home to Liverpool. Warnock still hates them for resting players and sending him down with Sheffield United years ago.

Cardiff will be well up for it.

For me, both us and the dippers will win our last 3 games, so the title comes down to this:
Liverpool vs Cardiff
City vs Tottenham and The Shite.

On paper, you’d have to say they’re favourites.

But this team of ours is capable of beating everyone on their day. But the title could quite easily come down to an incorrect offside call or dodgy penalty.

I cant make my mind up about the Cardiff v Brighton game. A Cardiff win would probably increase their chances against Liverpool. A Brighton win means that they'll be on the beach when we play them.

I don't think Cardiff's result will make them more or less likely to get anything from Liverpool. They won't get anything either way.

We have to work on the basis that Liverpool win all their remaining games.

The reason we can win it is that Pep does not believe in the mantra of we need five games to win it. We play each game individually and don’t think about the next game on the pitch. It’s a tough ask but these players and manager can do it!

Think I could just about stomach another Aguero moment, 0-0 at Brighton til the 90th minute with the Sky cameras showing the Dippers 3-0 up, celebrating like lunatics, giving it the big un, only for Bernado to slip a ball through for Sterling to smash it into the roof of the net from 20 yrs out.....oh could you imagine the frothing at the mouth from the gimps
It would have to be an offside goal as well, just too much for them to handle!
At least the local wax works will be thriving!

I can’t see Liverpool dropping any more points and may well catch up our goal difference a bit in their next two games.

We just have to do our thing!

I don't think goal difference will enter the equation as to who wins the league. It will wonderful to watch them win their next two games 5-0 whilst we win 1-0. They can then win the 'we had the best goal difference' trophy whilst we win our last three and win the trophy that matters
