Why would anyone boo Samaras?

I'd say most fans clapped. So I'm not sure why we should look at the negatives.

He took a lot of stick at City, then gave some back when he left. Handbags at dawn really.

There was way too many good things yesterday to keep letting the insignificant get in the way.

I still cant understand him getting booed. My statement on Pearce was that he played him out of position and continually substituted him or started him on the bench and then gave him 15 minutes for the idiots to boo him. Was it surprising he spouted off when he finally got away from city?

Still Im glad the real fans won out and gave him a clap when he went off.

Wish i was a REAL fan like you!

Booooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldnt believe my ears today. Samaras got booed and someone managed to shout as a corner was about to be taken 'Samaras you are shit!'. The sad thing is that he deffinately heard it.

Come on, he wasnt great but he doesnt deserve this. He tried at city, he failed, he went. Lets not forget that Pearce did his very best to drain an confidence the lad had out of him.

Glad the dicks didnt win when he got subbed and rest of the crowd gave him a clap when he went off.
I was not aware he got booed, but that doesn't surprise me. Played well yesterday, and with a lot more confidence than he did in the City shirt.

Not his fault that he was burdened with a £5 Million price tag

He got booed when he was playing for us too. Best fans in the world...

Fuck me, this sudden absolute, moral outrage at City fans, by City fans is fucking ridiculous!
Nothing sudden about it, booing your own players is cretinous, always has been.

are some people for real!! did noone ever read what he said about our club after he left

small memories
Pearce & Wigley treated him like shit. Instead of trying to encourage him they screamed at him constantly in training. He hated his time here and you could hardly blame him for feeling a little bitter. He's never going to be the world's greatest player but he's found his level and some confidence and I'm pleased for him.

Yet he gets booed and the clueless clown that is Stuart Pearce would no doubt get cheered to the rafters.
