Because I refused to move to Mossley,my then fiancee told me it was never going to work.
She still lives there, whilst, I live five minutes from Coogee beach in Sydney.
I think I got the better deal,although I could still go to City regularly if I lived in hillbilly central.Swings and roundabouts,but she was a crap shag looking back.

Waterloo is a right shit hole,I would prefer Mossley myself!

A sofa.

Lived with a lovely girl when i was 21 but she had this annoying habit of falling asleep on the sofa after a night out when all i wanted to do was bone the crap out of her or some other romantic thing.
Got rid of the sofa after a few arguments about my lack of nocturnal rumpy pumpy and replaced it with a couple of armchairs.
She moved out two weeks later. Thinking about it now it might have been because she caught me in bed with her sister. Ignore this now. It wasn't the sofa. Sorry.

Not weirdest but football related. The amount of girls I've been dumped by because of City. A couple have texted me during an away day.
My current GF being one of them but she's realised (finally) that city is my life so she's trying to compromise .... I'd give it a month.

I remember you posting about your Mrs' book and how it meant you both could travel the world and i was really pleased for you.

Regarding the ones who've used City as a reason for being dumped, I wonder if it would work the other way round? My youngest daughters friend is obsessed with anything City. She used her birthday money to buy a season card and got a paper round so she could afford to go to away games aswell.

My girlfriend left me because apparently I was "too upset". This coming from a girl that had self-harmed and threatened to kill herself for the duration of our two-and-a-half-year relationship. Women eh?

It might have hurt at the time but you're definitely best off out of a relationship like that. You're not qualified to deal with someone who self harms and is suicidal. You'll be upset because you can't help her despite wanting to do anything you can to do so. And I talk from experience.

Like others on here, City have got in the way. I got reasonably serious with someone but conflict arose about seeing her Parents when they were in town over my pre-booked away trip (non refundable) or some random Girl's Birthday over a Manchester derby. If I was up early Saturday for City then I didn't want to go out Friday night etc. I was angry when we split up but, then again, City are never going to leave me.

I also take heart over the fact that many Lesbians have previously been in relationships with Men. I just wish I'd allowed myself to see it before she finally decided at 25. I vividly remember sitting in the garden when I found out and just looking at the sky in despair. A genuine low point in my life.

My biggest mistake was kindness. I let my ex-bird out of the cellar for 2 hours instead of the usual 1 last Christmas as a treat, and she repaid me by chewing through the rope and running up the street naked. I never saw her again. *sigh*
