Wife in Hospital

My mate sells health insurance and lots of his clients work in the NHS . What I would say if you have dosh sloshing around it would be well spent on health insurance. It's a bit like some people I know who use their 30 grand merc for a hour a day . They tell me they don't have a good night's sleep in their £500 bed . I have a £500 mountain bike and sleep nicely for 8 hours in my 6 grand bed < which I got heavily discounted > horses for courses

And loads of them smoke.

A bus I used to get to work stopped at Wythenshawe hospital, and every time without fail there’d be a tribe of hospital staff outside near the bus stop having a cig.

I’ve been in and out of hospital a lot over the last year (despite being out of hospital I’ve still not officially been discharged) and every time I’ve been, there were loads of staff outside smoking.

There are ‘THIS IS A NO SMOKING SITE’ signs dotted about all over the place n’all… that’s a fucking lie!

My missus had a freak fall last weekend and broke her hip very badly, it took the Ambulance 4 hours to get to our house, once there one particular Nurse treated her very roughly (my wife is a nurse but now works in research) she is going to be in hospital for a few weeks and the care she is getting is very hit and miss, Consultent tells her one thing about how she should start her phisio after and the phisios tell her something else and leave her feeling terrible when they make her get up on a zimmer frame so they can tick a box, it's making me very angry to see her so upset I'm going to end up in trouble telling the pricks what i think about what they are doing, most of the staff just sit in the hub on their mobiles ignoring the buzzer to let you in during visiting you have to wait until someone with a access card wants to go into the ward, it's certainly opened my eyes to the kind of people the NHS employ, if you've got a pulse you will get a job

I know how you feel I’ve been there it’s tough but try and speak with the consultant/consultants secretary. Or you could write a letter copy the one you posted on here it’s pretty plain what is wrong.
 
I can only go off personal experiences, of which I’ve had too many I’d care to think about. Generally speaking, the NHS is crap, shite and not fit for purpose anymore.

I’m lucky enough to have private healthcare with my employer, thank God. It’s chalk and cheese.

Not a chance I would have more than 5k in my bank and not have private health care . Especially if over 50 and no pre existing issues as it shouldn't be stupid cost.
