My missus had a freak fall last weekend and broke her hip very badly, it took the Ambulance 4 hours to get to our house, once there one particular Nurse treated her very roughly (my wife is a nurse but now works in research) she is going to be in hospital for a few weeks and the care she is getting is very hit and miss, Consultent tells her one thing about how she should start her phisio after and the phisios tell her something else and leave her feeling terrible when they make her get up on a zimmer frame so they can tick a box, it's making me very angry to see her so upset I'm going to end up in trouble telling the pricks what i think about what they are doing, most of the staff just sit in the hub on their mobiles ignoring the buzzer to let you in during visiting you have to wait until someone with a access card wants to go into the ward, it's certainly opened my eyes to the kind of people the NHS employ, if you've got a pulse you will get a job

I'm the first to respond so I will say sorry.
Then I will say the NHS are fucking useless. A waste of time.
Anyone want an argument? Try me cos I'm sick of the fuckers
I’m sad to say but the way it’s going it’s going to collapse in the next 5 years, unless they open the borders up to get more staff and sort out management it’s all coming to a head. Factor in a lot of hospitals been condemned from this concrete scandal and it will not be fit for purpose. The cunts have run it into the ground and won, it will be privatised tbh most is through the back door these days, diabetes is increasing within society and putting a huge strain on the nhs and because people take no responsibility for their actions it’s only going to get worse. Present a fat **** with a bill for diabetes and see how fast they start to lose weight, yes I know you can have it hereditary But a lot isn’t and they lots of stuff stems from diabetes. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great idea and institution but it’s time is nearly up in its old form, sadly.

You can't generalise, many NHS staff are wonderful, as I found out this week.

The trouble is they are overstretched.

I was in Blackburn hospital last week and there were 47 people waiting to be seen in the fracture clinic, some had been there six hours, and in A&E 18 trollies in the corridor with patients on because there were no beds, the poor nurses were scurrying about like workers an Maccy D's, this was just before midnight.

Best wishes to Mrs frothy.

btw The NHS saved my life, Mrs CBJ's life and my son's leg after he had a bad motorbike accident, all in the last ten years.

If I'd have been in the USA we'd have been bankrupt.

My daughter worked for the NHS on the run up to and during covid and told us how poorly organised it was and how standard protocols weren’t followed . I reported that on here and was “piled on”
She’s now qualified as a physio, Masters, first class honours and starts her new position in a couple of weeks
Your Wife wouldn’t receive that treatment from her, but there are some evil cunts working in the NHS

It ultimately comes down to bad management

Having met you and your good lady on a number of occasions, I wish her a speedy return to full health.

There are other options. It isn't just the NHS or American medical system. Most of Europe have something in-between and it seems to work fine (from my experience).
