Been knocking about Mackemland since 12'o'clock midday with a load of our lads scooping on the piss.

Have to say there were some particularly rum tusks knocking about amongst our support today.

Truly shit if a blue nicked it, but without wanting to interrupt the lynching you have ruled out any other explaination haven't you mate. It couldn't have fallen down, or been pulled by stewards or anything could it? Hope it turns up for your lad.

Truly shit if a blue nicked it, but without wanting to interrupt the lynching you have ruled out any other explaination haven't you mate. It couldn't have fallen down, or been pulled by stewards or anything could it? Hope it turns up for your lad.

No mate, we were sat about 10 rows behind it but everyone was stood up so it was difficult to see it and the last time I saw it was early in the second half. As soon as the whistle went my wife and son went to the front to get it but it was gone. There were still quite a few flags there but ours was gone.

We spoke to the stewards afterwards who were very sympathetic and suggested that they had ejected 5 Blues in the second half from that area and maybe they took it but who knows, it would seem a bit odd them grabbing and untying a 10x5 flag whilst they were being chucked out unless they had already done so. It was on the very front rail with only the track in front of it so they were very hard faced.

Thanks to the thieving lowlife who stole my son's 10 foot flag today at the game. It was at the front behind the goals next to a big blue Q of S flag until late in the game when it was nicked.

Now I can almost understand supporters of other teams nicking them but BLUES STEALING FROM BLUES? It is disgraceful! I would have thought we were above that sort of thing, obviously not.

As it was a Red St George flag with WIGAN BLUES on the cross I have no idea why you would want it unless you are just one of these people who steal things for the hell of it.

My lad was gutted as that flag has travelled half way round the world with us watching City (you can see it on the home page of this site).

If you are reading this then you are probably the type of person who will find it funny, I wonder if anyone else on here does. However, in the off chance that you have a "mate" who took it by "mistake" then PM me.

I'm Sunderland marra but I hope this helps. There was an altercation second half with our scummy stewards and about 6 city fans got taken out for no reason from the front. The first 5 left willingly but then right next to that foreign flag they moved in again. I clearly saw them untie a flag, roll it up and walk out. Get in touch with Northumbria Police and ask them to look at their cctv footage of the incident.

Hey, i watched the game back after posting last night. Thought this might help you. You're flag last appears on tv in the 68th minute with a steward in a blue jacket sat directly infront of it. 74th minute is the next time the camera pans round that area and its gone, as is the steward.

Defo get onto Northumbria police. Hopefully they will still have the dickhead in custody this morning.

Iwas sat in seat 0747 Row 03BlockL35 this bloke and his other half were sat next to me in the first half come the second half and this lad and his other half got ejected with 3 other blues I actualy saw this lad take the flag .This lad who took your flag needs a good hiding for this .He also spat on the sleeve of my jacket as he was shouting told him to wipe it off my sleeve which he did not do so i just dried it on his shirt was going to hit him one but my misses said it is not worth the hassle. Hope you get your flag back of this so called CITY fan.
