Can play lone striker and also should be a great battering ram with Sergio alongside when fit.

Said last week that all the Balkans will be gone by summer, I stick by that prediction.
 
Anyone else feeling really excited about this??

Hope it happens. Though one downside might be going back to a 4-4-2 for some games.

The Guardian is reporting £25 million + add ons (whatever they may be), are we not getting £25 million for Negredo?
Why do you think he'll be on more wages?

Not worth anything like £30m in a realistic market but City need a striker and they're paying for historically inflating the market for less than world class players.

i am not sure but i think negredo was on 80kish. about negredo's fee I see 25M pounds a lot but when he was initially loaned the figure that surfaced most was 30M euros which is closer to 23.5M pounds

In any case, a very good signing.

As for the rags, we aren't the one willing to dish out 300k/week and a total of 50M in transfer and loan fees for an injured 29 year old striker.

Digs at us spending £30m on a striker......... One of their own had to remind them that they spent , ahem...£35m on Carroll !!!!!
 
I wasn't keen when this was first rumoured, but I am now

Bony would give us something that we don't have and his goal record is great

We were always likely to replace Negredo at some point and with the injuries to all our forwards and our League position this has probably brought this deal forward. This could be the difference between winning trophies and finishing 2nd
