Wilfried Zaha

I like him a lot but don't see him as a City player. He doesn't have the same qualities as our current wingers who's main strengths lie in their positioning and off the runs more so than their dribbling ability. Zaha is different, he's primarily a fantastic 1v1 dribbler capable of making something from practically nothing. Whilst Pep encourages brave inventive play in the final third i'm not convinced him playing in our team would be the best option for him or us. We do however need cover on the wings but i think that'll be something we will look to address in the summer if at all depending on Sanchez coming in and where he see's him playing.

Don't forget the influence that Pep could have on this though.

I think he’s an interesting one - when teams do what Southampton did and park a fleet of buses, caravans, HGVs, taxis and removal lorries- Zaha might just be the player we need to make something happen - he’s good 1 on 1, he is good in the air and takes people on in the 18 yard area. He is someone who could break the deadlock but I’m not sure he’d want to be a 70th minute super sub.

No thank you. Not even close to the quality needed to have an impact on this squad. Also, would require stupid money for what he brings.

I don't think it would be a good move for either party, he has been in this position before where he was in great form got a big move but then stagnated and most thought we would never hear much of him again. Luckily he got a chance again with Palace, he's back to his best and more importantly he's enjoying his football at a place he'll be valued and adored(he's one of their own as they say).

As for us it would be a waste of money, he looks great against the backdrop of the other Palace players but against ours? Nah not for me and I don't want to see it for the sake of our academy players, we'll need the odd superstar signing but if we'd rather give a Zaha a chance while paying over the odds for it than give them a shot then they wont see a way into this team no matter what the club tells them.

We might as well give Patrick Roberts a go in the same role, naturally more gifted with his feet but just needs to mature mentally and physically to the demands of the PL(might not make it but wont cost us to give him a shot). Also has Lukas Nmecha had a growth spurt in the last couple of years? I seem to remember him being a lot shorter or maybe I'm thinking of a different player but he did himself no harm in the cup game when he came on, handled himself very well in the circumstances.

4 goals no assists this season. Not great

Good player in spells in a game.

Would not think he is a city player but if pep wants him who are we to argue

He's a natural No 10 & looks like he's behind D Silva, Bernardo, Gundogan, KDB & Foden.

Looks like Diaz is in for a long wait for a regular spot in his natural position with the squad we have, never mind on the right or left wing.

We saw how ineffective he was against Leicester.

Been on the bench a few times played at Leicester and did ok he will be in the semi final team. Probably see in the summer if it’s better for him to be loaned out for 12 months but needs to be a team that will play him.

We need to play him. However, when was the last time we dominated a team & were comfortably winning 4, 5 or 6-0 & Diaz was on the bench so we could give him 10-20 minutes?

Do we need to be winning 4, 5 or 6-0 to give him 10-20 minutes? As far as I know he doesn't have an OCD that requires him to score a hat trick of own goals every time he plays football?

Could do a good job for a team (no disrespect to palace) better than palace but not in our league

OK, take it up with Guardiola mate. You obviously have an alternative solution to his, to bring us success. I don't know why Pep has never asked himself what you've just asked me...

Yes, but I have an unerring ability, to delete minutiae from my mind as soon as it is no longer of any discernable use...

Remind me will ya? :-)

So you don’t remember our last home game the one before Newcastle’s away? Your some fair weather city fan.
