Will City Be Banned?

FFS it won't be a ban, either a warning and a suspended fine or a small fine.

Imbeciles for doing it.

Get over it!

They weren't coines or bottles and wouldn't hurt if a player got hit.

Try engaging your brain! The Villarreal player taking the corner wasn't to know whether the next missile was going to be a ball of scrunched up paper or something dangerous, so it was interfering with the match. That's why it was fucking idiotic to carry on after the PA warning at HT.

Correct ! - Totally different attitude if opposing fans did this to Silva whilst taking a corner I suspect !

Can't see us getting banned for that unless Platini sees it as an opportunity to get what we all know he really wants. Just think, if he banned us for 10 years, he could stop bothering with all the FFP stuff.

He knows we've money, an' the kickbacks might be dryin' up, so 'eres a chance to sting us for a whoppin' great fine - two trillion, nine hundred and fifty seven billion, nine hundred and ninety nine million, nine hundred and seventy eight thousand, four hundred and eighty two pounds, four shillings and elevenpence, or David Bernstein's vote when Blatter effsoff and Michel, our belle, eyes his destiny and wants to become top jock at FickFufa.

So we probably get fined for throwing a bit of paper in the ground but it's alright for Napoli fans to go around stabbing people whenever & where ever they want. It's a fucking joke

As I used to tell the 9 year old children in my class: "Two wrongs do not make a right." Throwing of ANY missiles, whether it be paper or coins or whatever is stupid and childish. As others have said, how did that Villareal player know what was being thrown? When things were thrown at Craig Bellamy did our fans think it was right? No they protested loud and clear.

Now, in our first season in Champions League, the club could end up either getting a huge fine or even worse. If people had stopped when they were asked and told the consequences EUFA might have looked on it more favourably but now we don't know what will happen. Just because we are one of the richest clubs in the world does not mean that we can just say; "Oh it's just a fine it doesn't matter." Sheik Mansour did not get rich by throwing money around. He will not want to think that the fans that he is trying to support do not give the same courtesy back.

IMHO

I hope what you say is right and we dont get in serious trouble of this. Fact is though fans were hell bent on bringing the showsec issue to this game and some made that the priority on the night. Odd things get thrown at games, but this was lots of so called supporters throwing lots of stuff and for long periods of the game. It will have also been noted that a Villarreal player was prevented from taking his corner when stuff was raining down on him. In the end he just took what was a very crap corner maybe due to the fact he was in the middle of a snow ball fight. Does'nt matter what people throw though does it ?
I hope we just get a ticking off, but if we dont at least the dickheads who did the throwing will know who they are. Not that they'll give a shit of course.

What did the club expect to happen when they gave a crowd of people, a reasonable percentage of who are pissed up, thick as pig shit or both, a large piece of paper each?

the people throwing them at players were are thick as pigshit!!

What the numpties chucking stuff obviously could not see. And no surprise in that otherwise they would not have been chucking it in the first place - anyway here was the club making an effort to create more atmosphere by making a singing section and in just 90 minutes the knuckleheads demonstrated why it will never happen again and every chance that 109 to 111 will be redistributed around level 3 next year when season tickets are renewed. Some will not like that but who needs them?

The case against MCFC for throwing projectiles onto the pitch is to be held by UEFA on 17th November, just before the Napoli game I believe. Yikes!

I remember a couple of years back police at a game in turkey had to surround players taking corners for fear of them being hit by missiles..nowt was done to them.
