Will City be seen by Heart fans as Tan or Allam is here?

Give the fans an option Blue shirts or we fuck off. Would you rather worry about the colour of a shirt and challenging for titles or still being the embarrassment of Australian Football.
Yep who gives a shit about melbourne hearts fans. Let them become manchester citys woman.
While we're at it why don't we make them bow down and worship our crest at gunpoint before every home league game?

Out of curiosity, how would you have reacted if, on 1 September 2008, as Sky Sports reported the takeover, an official statement was posted saying "We will immediately be changing this team to be called Manchester Sheikhs, playing in the traditional Abu Dhabi colours of dark red and white. If the fans are unwilling to accept this we intend on walking out and leaving you with nothing"?

Would not have given a shit. I support the club not the colour. The colour is just part of our identity as was Maine Road and for the better good sometimes you have to move on.

That is easy to say after the event as our loyalty was not tested. Though after watching so much shit on the pitch for 30 years I wouldn't have given a fuck if they came out wearing bright red dresses as long as we won a fucking trophy.

Does anyone else feel that comparing the colours of a club established before Australia even existed to the colours of a club established a few years back is sort of inane?

Yes, and no:

I wrote this earlier:
"The issue about red and white is not simply because they are the colours of Melbourne City (Heart): they are the colours of Melbourne City(heart) because they are the colours of Melbourne and Melbourne didn't pop into existence a couple of years ago.

Does it matter whether any other team plays in sky blue? Teams in the same leagues all over the world use the same colours in configurations or designs more or less similar one to another. I couldn't care less if Sydney play in some sort of blue (or blue is identified with NSW in anyway). Why would you let Australian cockneys determine what you want?"

This has nothing to do with Australia. This is about Melbourne. Melbourne was founded in 1835. It existed before Australia. Australia did not give birth to Melbourne, Melbourne gave birth (if you will) to Australia.

Melbourne's rugger team plays in dark blue. I didn't see a major protest there?
