So if he does get the sack, and it will inherently be blessed by Mansour, Mansour is just a rag twat and not a city fan? Fuck off you cunny shit. Maybe I'm forgetting things here, but the big excitement for me was all the talk about City being in the Champion's league from the day Mansour bought the club.

Pretty sure he didn't buy City to win a domestic trophy on a regular basis. As a matter of fucking fact, the club have stated that success in the champions league (not necessarily winning it, before you recycle that old talking point) is part of the basic investment strategy and long term future of the club.

You really have to have no fucking clue to think that winning the league or another FA cup has Fuck All to do with the progress of the club. You and I are both satisfied with winning one of those on a yearly basis. Unfortunately, neither of us are Middle Eastern Billionaires who spent more than the GDP of many countries on our club.

How is the weather in trafford this evening, it's raining in manchester

He's an american

Really! knows his stuff then

Sheikh Mansour is on record saying he doesn't expect us to win the CL in the first 2-3 years, which demonstrates that he's patient and realistic. He also stated that he expects gradual progress year on year. This isn't progress. The aim is ultimately for City to be self sufficient and to turn a profit. This early exit has cost us a lot. He's been patient, supportive and philanthropic up to now but it's a business and despite domestic success, his manager, when you look at the bottom line, has lost a large chunk of revenue.

are you sure ? wich figures has been lost ?

£30 million isn't it? 2 x £15m's which you get for qualifying out of group?

Uh oh, your common sense will be rewarded with being called a rag. You can't be realistic in this thread, if you do you'll be called a rag. Pretty Ironic and makes me wonder about their loyalties.

Despite your sarcasm, not all of us are glory hunting rag and galaxy fans. Everyone and their mom (literally had an ex-pat with a London accent say his mom was from Manchester to explain away his red shirt).

Pretty sure a majority of these people are just forum trolls. I wouldn't go as far as thinking they were city fans.

It doesn't matter whether you like Mancini or don't, whether you want him sacked or to stay. One man has the ultimate decision on his fate. The owner. He bought the club for 2 reasons. 1, because he has to diversify his interests away from oil and 2, to raise the profile of Abu Dhabi on the commercial stage. To see his investment lose not only the money that was on offer but in the manner it was lost will, I suspect, not go down well. First and foremost, he's a businessman.

No it's €3million, so we've missed out on €6m.

I think this is a salient point. We had a real opportunity to ride the crest of the wave that was winning the league in the way we did it and continue to raise the profile of the club and Abu Dhabi around the world. You could argue with this dismal show in the CL we have made a right balls of said opportunity.

About 10m is what we loss because of not going trough.

Not counting the potential extra sponsors.

Also there is money in group matches 400.000 pounds for a draw 800.000 for a win.

We made 3 draws it is 1.2 m pounds.

Dortmund won 4 times drew 2 times that is 4m pounds. +extra bonus for going to next stage about 3-4 m.

Also teams getting far getting more money from the TV Pool money. In the end they add up how many matches English teams played in the competition and how many was played by your team. That will give a ratio and that will count when they pay the TV Pool money end of the competition.

Chelsea played 6 group matches last year and 6 knockout matches plus the final.
13 matches and English teams played about 33 matches.

Chelsea got 13/33 ratio of that money while United/City only got 6/13 part of that money. (Arsenal 8/13 part.)

Its a big money competition. Especially for English teams as their TV Pool money is the biggest, bigger than Italian, German, Spanish teams get. (From selling the CL broadcasting things...)
