Will Mancini be sacked if we lose tonight?

We need a fast more reliable forward to replace balo, a second keeper and a realistic replacement for de Jong.

I think the cheque book is closed until the summer. Best we'll get i imagine is someone like Zaha even if Balo does go. Hard to argue for more funds in Jan when you're not in Europe anymore.

I'm not sure they'll Zaha go, even if City were prepared to offer £12m+.

I suppose it'll depend on whether they are still sitting pretty in the top 2 come January. If so, he wont be going anywhere. A potential Promotion and then selling Zaha is worth miles more than selling Zaha in Jan.

listen you lot, let's get real....

the ONLY question worth asking right now about Manciti's job tenure is whether or not he watches Inspector Montalbano

- and this thread should have been stopped a long time ago for being too silly:

The Sun story "claims" we are buying him and letting him stay there for the second half of the season.

15 million for a player who has not proved himself in the prem, big risk

It's a risk indeed. However, IMO, he's better than Scott fucking Sinclair.

One fact that is often omitted when discussing Mancini's time at City, and it is a matter that is greatly to his credit, is the teams ability to bounce back from adversity.

Throughout his time at the club there have been several examples where a disappointing result or performance has been followed by a barnstorming one. Examples of this include:

2010/11 Lost to West Brom in CC Cup: Beat Chelsea 1-0 at home
Lost 3-0 to Liverpool: Beat united in the semi
2011/12 Lost to Bayern Munich in Germany: Beat Blackburn 4-0 away

We actually haven't been on a bad run in Mancini's time at the club to the best of my recollection.

I expect us to do the same on Sunday and beat Chelsea. He has built a resilient squad under difficult circumstances. He is also a lucky manager. I say that not as a back-handed compliment, but as a reflection that being lucky is a requirement of success. It is a great quality for a manger to have.

He has been written off many times before and yet has answered that by delivering the goods when it matters. He is a winner and it's a shame that some blues seem unable to give him any credit for what he has done for this club.
