Will Mancini be sacked if we lose tonight?

I think some of you are being incredibly naive.

Ask yourselves this very simple question: What on earth do you think we have appointed Soriano and Begiristain for?

Out of all the people in the world we could have gone after, we have appointed those two. Who just happen to work at the same club, the club where one of the CL's most successful managers is on a sabatical considering his next move.

Do you think this is all random? I don't.

i'd be stunned if he were sacked tonight. Stranger things have happened in football (as we've seen today), but I don't believe he will. It's not beyond the realms of possibility his fate could be decided tonight though.

Not a chance.....

His fate will be decided once it becomes apparent whether or not we become only the 3rd ever back to back premier league Champions.

I think we will and mancini will see his contract out... then return home to Coach Italy

i hope not. we need stability and i'd rather establish our superiority in the premiership this year and show we really are the best team in Britain

Think the OP meant ' would he be sacked tonight/tomorrow ' if we lose tonight.

Can't see that happening.......

However, you are right in what you say about Trixie - if we don't win the league and/or progress beyond tonight, I think Pep might come in the summer...........

Pep Guardiola has catagorically stated he will not go back into management this year.

Chelsea tested his resolve 3 days ago and he said the same thing then.

Until he gets the hunger back he will not be seen in a dugout.

Also these 2 chaps are very good at what they do it is blind speculation to say anything beyond we want the best suits working for us.

His cards are certainly marked, but can't see us pulling the trigger just yet. Pep is waiting in the wings the job is his for the start of the season

-- Wed Nov 21, 2012 2:38 pm --

Of course he will what has he done since he's been at city FFS! Oh yer an FA cup and an EPL tittle and some of the best football played by a city team since the days of being a snotty kid on the Kippax coughing on a no 6.
Looks like the mad ruski has stirred things up haha.

After all the Chelsea happenings do you think that the board may finally decide they want to go another route? I surely hope not but football is a funny old game.

So they can appoint Pep to manage our youth team?

spot on

I think this is a super plan.

Just before we play a match important to both title and CL positions against a team potentially in disarray after the overnight sacking of their manager, we should do the same to even it up [it's part of the FFPR, apparently].

To paraphrase allan harper, my head really hurts now.

This is a clarkie, right?

You are really suggesting Pep would work under Mancini, managing our youth team? I think you need to give your head a wobble.

Replacing a manager midway though a season and being currently top of the league is complete suicide.

It will be Mancini's European performances that if anything will get him the sack, but that is for the board to decide at the end of the season, not now.

For all we know Mancini could help win us the Europa, FA Cup and the Premiership this season.

Why? he did it at Barcelona before taking the mangers job Mancini seems a sensible bloke and understands he will have another at least 3 seasons only problem would be the media but hey the media are taking piss every day with bullshit stories!

Look at it this way Pep going anywhere as manager they would expect great football and trophies one bad management Job and he'll be looked at as a failure..

But after giving my head a wobble your right it was a joke ;)

How many times have we gone through ''bunch of talented individual but NOT a TEAM '?
It takes time and we need to stick with the core and build the foundation .
Bobby is the hardest working manager ever and for a change he deserves respect for his hard work he has put on.
He has build a team and all we need is little patience and support the manager.
Is that too much to ask?
