Will Mondays game be called off?

far too many rights in this country for them to do anything the police are scared to hit them in case they get in trouble, its not worth it they proabably think.
its like that vigilante group tonight in london if they were attack these yobs who do you think would end up in court?

I see the Millwall fans have grouped together to help police and protect their neighbourhood. City fans AND United should get together for once to smash some fuckin scum heads in, you can count ME in fckin DEFFO

I am so up for this if it was to happen my cousin is on the front line at the moment, and all they can do so far is stand by and wait for orders to move in.

The problem is that when one officer has arrested some one they then have to go and take them away which means they are people short.

10-30pm ....

Have just picked my daughter up from her friends house in the Alexandra Park estate in Moss Side , and three or four mean lookin' lads walked by the car heading for town (who she said she 'kinda knew' ) ... they were all armed with baseball bats!

it's a sorry state of affairs .....

Weekend games in doubt.

I think it will fizzle out pretty soon. If not, people will start taking to the streets and then it will fizzle out.

Well done Millwall if it's true, saw the Seikh lads on SKY defending their area, looking at the size of some of them you can bet no one is looting there.

Bet they haven't looted China town - enough said!

London's calm (I believe) and Bristol and Liverpool have no trouble as far as I'm aware tonight. The trouble in Manchester is mainly kids but they've caused lots of damage. I think each city outside London is having their night of trouble and then that's it. If there's problems tomorrow night in Manchester I can see plenty of citizens taking to the streets on Thursday to chase off any trouble-makers. Tomorrow they won't, because they'll be expecting it to have died out and I'm sure it will have.

-- Tue Aug 09, 2011 11:48 pm --

There's trouble in Leicester too BTW. I have a lot of friends there (not causing the trouble I might add).

Sure as hell hope you are right.

If this does not die down tomaz we should all take to the streets if millwall and charlton can do it the surley city and united can do it that would get them fuckers to stop

I believe there will be such a movement!! if these twats! are still about tomoz!!!!! As a proud Born & Bread Manc, what I have seen tonight is a fucking disgrace!!! I love Manchester its My birth place, My work place, My Mecca, those Rioting scum bastards have never contributed to our City, I bet they have never paid tax's they have only bled its rich's and abused its services, they have no honour or pride and I hope all of those involved die a slow death! I offer my services to My City, if and when required!

I think Mondays game will be on at it stands.

I doubt we will have anymore nights of trouble.

if plans for tomorrow go ahead and work like the spurs/millwall firms did then manchester will be safe.

Monday's game has to be in doubt even if there's no more mither.

Police will (I hope) have a lot of arrests to process and looters to track down, so I imagine their resources will be stretched to the limit anyway.

Lots of rain forecast between now and Monday, should bring things to an end, at least for the time being.

That's the thing. Riots always happen in the summer, just as Shakespeare said at the beginning of Romeo and Juliet. Tempers run hot and everyone's outside.

But if most of the coppers have to spend all weekend up all night it's the lack of police that will be the problem.

The upside is that they get a huge and needed nice little earner from City and United so they will be all for the game going ahead!
