Will Silvinho be the new Galuber Berti?

I don't think he'll be a Glauber. My bet is it was his request for a 1 year deal having been out of England for a while.

He is a brilliant left back and he offers a different option to Wayne as gets up a lot on can thread some terrific balls.

With Sylvinho, Bridge, Petrov, Robinho and Ireland... well that is a lot of strong options for left wing.

Loving it!

Looking at this transfer from outside, I think it is a great sign.

It was for free and it is a player that can bring experience and winning mentality to the team. The main con is his age, but that is something that can be overpassed.

To be an option for Waynes he is more than good. Obviously I'm not expecting him to run for Walcott, Lennon, Young or some quick winger, but for some matches his experience may be relevant

Nobody will ever be GLAUBER BERTI!
I'm still organising BERTI day anytime we play on 24th May. I already have 600 BERTI masks and photocopies of his signature.

im jealous =(

feel like sending a set over to australia?

Well, say Bridge and Garrido both injured for a big game later in the year... I know I feel a whole lot better having Silvinho playing rather than throwing a kid in at the deep end. He will act as a role model and bring these young kids along who can then push forward even more and break into the first team in 2 years or so. Very shrewd by Mr Hughes.
