I agree with the hypocrisy, but in the scope of the things, this was not measurable as context.
What I'm saying is, when you were a kid and you got 'punished' by not being allowed out or to play a game, you were still allowed to do other things and that were soon forgotten about. If you chose not go out or play your game, what difference does it make to you?
So this barely touches anything, so I wouldn't call it a 'sanction' when he resigned from the academy anyway.
