Not to a woman with the autoimmune disease of alopecia it wouldn’t be.Demi Moore shaved her head for G.I. Jane, Rock said she was appearing in the sequel.
That's it, tame as fuck.

I’d be pulling my hair out at the comment ;)Not to a woman with the autoimmune disease of alopecia it wouldn’t be.
Well...show me the previous oscars award ceremony where two A-list actors fought on stage? How so?
"This would never have even been dreamed of 20 years ago".
I have something to tell you about the history of Hollywood or entertainment if you think an altercation between two actors is something that would only happen today.
"Kind of says it all about the current generation and the culture it is creating..."
To be quite honest, we are so sensitive to violence these days, which is a good thing, that even a mild altercation can generate weeks of coverage. Nowt to do with "this generation" whatever that means given these are middle-aged men.
I really don’t understand why people think this particular disease is so amusing I’m afraid, winky face or not.I’d be pulling my hair out at the comment ;)
I get that, but you sort that shit backstage not infront a viewing nation. Not to a woman with the autoimmune disease of alopecia it wouldn’t be.
Will Smith is mid 50’s. He’s hardly “current generation” is he.Well...show me the previous oscars award ceremony where two A-list actors fought on stage?
Its everything to do with the current generations and sliding standards of behavior. Ask yourself if will smith from 1999 would have behaved this way at the oscars!?
Agreed. Or just say “like most of your stuff Chris, not funny”I get that, but you sort that shit backstage not infront a viewing nation.
Well I laughed , but then again I have a bit of a warped sense of humour, I went to a partners works do once, a guy there, told me he sang and played guitar in a band but was going blind and would have to give it up soon, I suggested he got a black wig, dark glasses and become a Roy Orbison tribute act, some laughed, some didn’t, (he did, my partner of the time didn’t btw) each to their own I guess.Imagine somebody who'd had a leg amputated for, say, diabetes or as a result of a car accident.
And then Chris Rock could have said "Don't worry, if you get a parrot I hear they're doing a remake of Treasure Island"
Doubt if people would have seen the funny side of that
You are entirely missing the point...Will Smith is mid 50’s. He’s hardly “current generation” is he.
I havent given him a pass but Smith should have waited then pulled him up off camera. As for his speech? Fuck me that was excruciating.I don't get why so many on here are giving Chris Rock a pass on this. He's a vile, spineless little dwarf of a man who uses his position now to get his own back on the big kids who bullied him at school. Talentless arsehole who actually thinks he's funny.
Watch the stills. Both of them, smith in particular, are smirking. My thinking he was going to punch him then at last minute turned it into a slap, as he’d gone that far he had to do something. No one slaps anyone unless it’s just so he can say he bitch slapped him!
There's been kerfuffles and fights at Awards shows since forever, from John Wayne having six security stopping him getting on stage and fighting Marlon Brando to shite between Oasis and Blur in the 90s, but if you mean a very specific incident on stage then I don't think that's a very good measure of analysing things.Well...show me the previous oscars award ceremony where two A-list actors fought on stage?

So you can't name an example i asked for. Specifically because the oscars is at the very top of the bill when it comes to prestige, and some class being shown during attendance has always been expected. I guess not anymore...There's been kerfuffles and fights at Awards shows since forever, from John Wayne having six security stopping him getting on stage and fighting Marlon Brando to shite between Oasis and Blur in the 90s, but if you mean a very specific incident on stage then I don't think that's a very good measure of analysing things.
In general, interpersonal violence has been reducing for over 200 years, with blips around economic crashes, so I don't know what sliding behaviour you're talking about.
And Chris Rock is 57 and Will Smith is 53 so "current generations" are somewhere between baby boomers and gen X.
Well I suppose some people like the idea that the world's going to hell and these things wouldn't have happened in their day, no matter how much evidence is put to them otherwise. So you can't name an example i asked for. I also said sliding standards of "behavior". The age of will smith is irrelevant...he's acting out in a way completely unbecoming and heretofore unseen at such a prestigeous event. Why is he doing it? Aside from knowing the power of his previlege and knowing he'll get away with it. Why? Becuase we as a culture have become apologists for such behavior and more akin to attack people for holding certain opinions. Violence = okay. Words = not okay.
My point is he wouldn't have gotten away with this 20 years ago. Its fine if you don't agree.
