Will we win the league this season? No

Their two European matches before the end of the season are likely to be tense and tetchy affairs.
I think it'll go to the last game thouhampions leage semi final
A two legged Semi Final in the Champions League against Athletico Madrid and Simeone is more than tetchy pal!

They are fucking animals with a horrible **** of a manager! We have seen that first hand when they tried to cripple Foden! This Arsenal team will need to stand up to them over two legs, whilst going for the league title!

The fact they have to play Athletico just adds a whole load of chaos to the mix, I can see both teams dropping points between now and the end of the season, we just need to do what we can... I currently think it's 60:40 in our favour, we control our destiny, just need to enjoy the ride

I think their fixtures are quite a lot easier so we have to win all our games and hope they drop points somewhere. Alternatively we need to win all our games big quite a few goals in case it comes down to goal difference.
I'd be delighted if points, GD and goals scored were identical and we won it on head to head though.
Had we tonked them 4-1 as we did a few seasons ago then I think they'd have imploded. As it was they showed enough to keep me thinking those 10 or 12 points dropped from winning positions (and the pitiful performance at the swamp) will come back to haunt us.
Having said that, I've seen enough to suggest we'll be in contention next season and will piss the league if we cut out the silly mistakes. We also need to sort out a couple of players who only play well for 3 or 4 games in every ten, but that's for another thread.
PS: Khus for Player of the Season, and NO'R for Young Player of the Season. Actually, NO'R could win both!!

We both have Burnley.
We both have Palace.

I'll call that even because Palace might be in a Conference League final 3 days after Arsenal but if they're not then we've got those fixtures the easy way around.

Brentford, Fulham, Newcastle, Everton and Bournemouth are all fairly similar, all within 42-48 points, although 2 being away for us makes it a lot harder. I still think Newcastle are the most dangerous of the 5 despite the points tally.

We have Villa (H), will probably have nothing to play for, look set to finish top 5 and 3 days after the Europa League final that they are favourites for.

They have West Ham (A) fighting relegation.

I would say it's only slightly harder for us, especially when you factor in 2 games against Atletico.

What I will say is, you just judge each game as it comes, Burnley away is a must win.

All the pundits are saying yeah credit to Arsenal for eschewing their safety first, football by numbers approach and showing renewed confidence and courage in trying to go toe to toe with City. Not for me.

Arsenal to me seemed like a boxer who was up on points earlier in the fight but has been slowly dismantled by a superior opponent and, knowing that there's not much left in the tank, has come out swinging in the 12th round hoping to land a knockout blow. The last throw of the dice from a broken team. Having failed to do so they've severely depleted themselves and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they fall off a cliff now and we end up 6,7,8 points clear at the end of the season.

If you’re looking at the fixture list, you’re wasting your time. With what’s left, anybody can win and anybody can lose any game.

What difference do people think there is between Newcastle, Fulham, Bournemouth and Everton? They’re all within 6 points of eachother and Newcastle have actually won more games than Bournemouth. You’re talking about fractions of a % difference between these sides which is not going to be the thing that decides the title.

Would you rather play at home to a Villa team that has a CL place bagged, or away to a West Ham team which is above Villa in the form table and is fighting for its life?
Correct mate, we played an almost relegated QPR team in 2012 and look how they nearly beat us!

Any team in the league can beat anyone, the best team will finish top!

It's been a mammoth effort, but all in service of just giving us a chance.

Make no mistake, Arsenal are still the ones with points on the board. I think there's a good chance we'll both drop points before the end and there is a hell of a long way to go.

But I always had faith in this team, I've never thought we were out of it (though we were close at times).
That's exactly my thoughts,it's possible both will drop points, let's take it one game at a time as it could go right to the wire, not sure my nervous system could take it though :)

It’s going to be very tough. The momentum is with us, but on paper Arsenal’s remaining games are easier. I think their best chance of dropping points is against Newcastle. Even though Newcastle are having a terrible season and the game is at Arsenal’s, they will come in under a lot of pressure after today’s loss, with one eye already on the Champions League semi-final. If they drop points there, they could completely fall apart.
I expect them to stuff Newcastle but I think they will drop points elsewhere,if they do then city will have to be on it like a dog with a postman's leg in his mouth

Great win today.

Burnley now and maybe no Rodri will be tougher.

We had no business being in a title race this season.

Those last 7 min felt like an eternity.

Block out the noise. 3 pts next please.
Correct mate, that's why I don't think we will win it! We haven't been good enough all season, I have no idea how we are still involved! Even today, we didn't play like a team who wanted it. That was a bad game of football today, they dragged us to their level. Compare today with United in 2012, or any game when we needed to catch Liverpool and get 97+ points! Whoever wins this league will limp over the line.

I'm not having a go at City here, but we should have hammered them today like we did at Wembley. Either team could have won that game!

Hammered was never happening unless we scored early and arsehole collapsed which could have happens if Donna didn’t fuck about I suppose -:)

We ain’t as good as previous teams but neither is our rival for the title. I would be delighted if we go on and win it this season. Stupendous…

Either team could have won. Arseholes have a good team. Probably deserved a goal but what u gonna do?

They have 3 games left at the Emirates.

That will be their undoing.

They played well today because they didn't have their home crowd making them nervous with every move.

Roy Keane was so right when he tore a strip of Richards and Neville on Sky after the game, for saying that Arteta should tell his players that he was proud and either team could have won! Arteta had the chance to secure half of the quadruple by beating us twice.

Even after loosing to City at Wembley all he had to do was beat Southampton and Bournmouth then us. They would be 12 points clear and still favourites for the treble!

Instead we can go top on Wednesday, and be in out 4th FA cup final in a row before the end of their next game!

We can also become only the second team ever to win the English domestic treble! after being the first team to do it!

I'm not convinced at all that we will win every game.

If Arsenal could drop another 3 points then I think that might do the trick.... But even then I'd still be nervous with this new team.

Next year, providing Pep stays, this team will be very very good.
Our only new players who started today were Cherki, Guehi and Semenyo. The 3 of them combined cost £15m less than Liverpool paid for Wurtz!

You really don't need to worry about our new team pal!
