Will we win the league this season? No

Just win all our games and hope for last days nerves. Just that niggle about Palace rest is layers and the £10 mill off Arsenal

That's all we can do. We've got to win, got to keep the pressure on and force Arsenal to win their final games. Away from home, final day needing 3pts isn't going to be straightforward regardless of the team Palace put out. Glasner's final home game with Palace - their final game before the Conference League final, they'll want a performance and to give them a send off.

Arsenal should, and probably will win it from here but let's make sure they have to work for it. If nothing else, just to ensure they have to commit mentally and physically to their final games so they get destroyed in the CL final.

I've got the capacity to do both still!
I admire your confidence, but realistically where? Burnley at home with nothing to play for, or crystal palace with their minds on a cup final. We also have bournemouth away which is a hell of a tough game. Its just not realistic anymore

Chancers are slim but I'll always believe.

Arsenal likely win out. Can't see them dropping at Burnley. If they do drop it'll be Palace final day I think. Selhurst Park...some final day scaries. Just not sure what sort of team Palace will trot out.

Palace should be a walk in the park for us. Good chance to rotate. FA cup will be tricky. Will need to be on it for that. Chelsea a lot better than people think.

Bournemouth the hardest PL game left and it's not close. Hopefully Rodders is fit. Villa are shite.
Curious as to why you think Palace will be a walk in the park for us yet will be difficult for Arsenal particularly a few days before the play the conference league final.

At least we now know how fans of other clubs have felt when waiting for us to drop points in the final games. Something neither we nor our players have experienced.

Maybe this likely extends into going into the final day with it not being in our hands. Knowing that whatever we do or how convincing our win, might be meaningless, could be defining for how we reapond in the future.

I don't think Palace will be difficult for Arsenal. I just think it's where they likely drop points IF they do. Which I don't think they do.

I feel it is inevitable they win it but I hope e take it to the last game just to see them them crap their kecks on the final day and not have the opportunity win it at home. I can imagine them scoring in the first half (probably from a corner) to pick up a 0-1 win and them claim it is comparable to our league winning final games against QPR and Villa.

We saw at the weekend how close it can be. Regardless of whether the decision to disallow the WHU goal was correct or not, it proves it's not over. On paper they had no right to run Arsenal that close, they're in the bottom three for a reason. Some Palace players may be playing for a place in their final.

I'm more hoping they don't do that double. If they do they'll be the greatest team Europe has ever seen, we'll never hear the last of it.

We can't keep pinning everything on the referees when we've put ourselves in these situations. Newcastle, fair enough, there's a debate there. But against Spurs, we were 2-0 up and completely lost control of the game. Whether the Guehi incident was a foul or not, we sat off, stopped playing, and allowed Spurs to dominate.

It's been the same story in other games too. We created enough chances against Brighton, Forest, Chelsea, Everton and Spurs, but didn't take them. If we'd been clinical in front of goal, the refereeing decisions wouldn't even be part of the conversation.
The refs didn't make Guehi give the ball away against Everton, and they didn't cause the defence to switch off for the goals against Chelsea and Spurs. At some point, the players have to take responsibility for the points we've thrown away ourselves.
Chelsea was at least partly the result of a double injury one serious which probably reduced our chances of winning the league on its own. One always looks back on certain results and say what if, but overall, we have been sporadic this season and a maximum of 83 points is not a total that one would expect to win the league on.

No I meant as in I had capacity to concentrate on City winning the FA Cup and pushing on again next season, whilst also moaning about the travesty of the decision on Sunday!

If we get to the final day 2 points behind, it's game-on. Arsenal are fragile. One game at a time.

They'll get an extra small golden CL trophy too because they'll have done it unbeaten for the first time.

You think winning 2 games to set up a last day finale is unrealistic?

The Bournemouth game does appear formidable but all we can do is go for it and see where it takes us.

The more I think about these types of transfer deals the more I realise such deals should not be allowed to exist. It never actually dawned on me. But how the fk can a transfer deal be allowed to exist where a club can earn money from their opposition beating them? Palace literally have a stake in Arsenal winning the league because of Eze. And on top of that (correct me if im wrong) City wasnt allowed to field Guehi in the league cup?

Theres no way the Palace higher ups arent going to urge the manager and team ease off on the last day (european final or not) vs arsenal to get that 10m add on bonus. A deal that can influence the outcome of the title being completely legal is messed up.

At the very least, those kinds of deals should only be allowed to be made for elimination based competitions with the recipent of the bonus already being eliminated at the time of transfer and/or if they're in seperate leagues/competitions entirely.

I'm sure there are thousands of these deals.
A selling club may get more added on for a player if they win the league, make an international debut, win the champions league, make 30 club appearances and so on.

And then by June it will all be forgot about as World Cup fever takes over big we need to get out recruitment right in the centre of midfield.tbh I always thought gvadiol could play there .
