I think it's a myth!Recent record is predictive hence why there’s such thing as a bogey team in football. It’s mentality driven.

The amount of times you make contradicting statements is astounding. Are you one of these snowflakes who gets upset when someone has a different opinion ?
How many times you seen him play a full 90 minutes live ? Less than a handful I imagine. So you're basing your opinion on what ..... you tube clips, Wolves away ? So you're rating a player on fuck all real evidence. Go back to YouTube mate.
I agree and they are a very emotional side, the problem they have had is being up against us and then Liverpool who walked it. If Liverpools drop continues, and I don't think we are ready for a run in, that pressure may not be as intense if they are comfortably clear. In my humble opinion, Arsenal will flop, plain and simple. Forget the players they have, their two biggest problems are:
1) The weight of expectation from their fans, followed by the chaos when the fail (Arsenal TV - say no more).
2) Their over emotional manager and the impact he has on the rest of the club. He's either up in the clouds or down in the dumps, no middle ground.
Now whether we can be up there to challenge if I am right, that's a different matter.
Pep’s record at Anfield and against Spurs in general, then in previous eras, Mancini’s record at Goodison and The Britannia suggest otherwise!I think it's a myth!
I think there’s an extremely poor culture of mental defeatism at Manchester City Football Club when it comes to Anfield. You only have to see the reaction on this very forum when we drew Liverpool in the 2017-18 Champions League quarter final. It was like we’d lost the tie on the day of the draw. Even Txiki’s face when the draw was made was ‘fucking hell we’re out’ written on his face.I think it's a myth!
Yeah, but equally, if you look at every possible fixture historically for patterns, you're bound to find some. Doesn't make it predictive. But for another thread perhaps.Pep’s record at Anfield and against Spurs in general, then in previous eras, Mancini’s record at Goodison and The Britannia suggest otherwise!
Recent record is predictive hence why there’s such thing as a bogey team in football.
Your argument then is that we signed him all too readily and that Pep has made poor signings before. Weak.No agenda just not a naive fanboy
I assume Lyon's difficulties would have sparked interest amongst other clubs ..... did anyone else bid for him ?
Pep's never signed a player who didn't produce ??
Well I think there is more to it than you suggest. Our only win at the dippers in a long long time was in an empty stadium. Clearly we get intimidated, violently on one notable occasion, when we go there and often lose even though we are often clearly the better team. I don't expect us to improve upon this record anytime soon either. This means something beyond the "fundamental quality" must be involved.I agree they're tough fixtures, but "recent record" is a rubbish reason.
I don't think there's anything about "recent records" which is predictive, beyond the fundamental quality of the teams involved. It's just soothsaying.
As I’ve said numerous times now. The only way arsenal win this league is if they build an early lead that puts them out of sight. They are far too emotional to handle a tight run home.I agree and they are a very emotional side, the problem they have had is being up against us and then Liverpool who walked it. Yeah I get it, and agree largely. That doesn't stay forever though and I haven't seen it as much this season with them. Teams do eventually get over the line and it ight be the year they do. I hope it isn't,As I’ve said numerous times now. The only way arsenal win this league is if they build an early lead that puts them out of sight. This is the way I see it as well. If come April 1st we are a couple points back or a couple points ahead I think we will win it. Arsenal essentially has to run away and hide like Liverpool did last year.As I’ve said numerous times now. The only way arsenal win this league is if they build an early lead that puts them out of sight. They are far too emotional to handle a tight run home.
Schoolboy Error !!!Can someone close this thread. 3-4 weeks ago I booked a holiday that has me missing the final day of the season due to my little trip. Now, every time I come on bluemoon I have this sinking feeling at "what have I done".
I can see the league being won with 75 - 80 points.
IMHO the winner will get around 90 pointsBack to normal levels this season.
I can see the league being won with 75 - 80 points.
All the top teams losing 6/7 matches.
Currently it's Arsenal's to lose and they have that mentality to fuck it up towards the end of the season.
And closing the thread will make what difference to your lack of foresight? Can someone close this thread. 3-4 weeks ago I booked a holiday that has me missing the final day of the season due to my little trip. Now, every time I come on bluemoon I have this sinking feeling at "what have I done".
