Any who think that Jose will view Sunday as an irritable distraction fail to grasp the overwhelming size of his ego or his overweening desire to impose his will upon events.

Sunday won't just be about Chelsea's chances of winning the league, but also about his opportunity to ruin Liverpool's party. Doubtless the goal that never was in the Champions League Semi Final which Liverpool went on to win in 2005 will also play its part in his thought processes. You don't get many chances in life for sweet revenge and when it comes you should grab it with both hands. In Jose's own mind, this affords him the opportunity for personal vengeance dressed up as redemption. He will, to quote the Emporer in Star War, 'let the hate flow through him'.

imo he will compartmentalise Sunday's game. Chelsea's Champions League prospects will be largely extraneous to his thoughts. Like a compulsive gambler at a casino with a job interview the following morning he will park logic and reason and pool all his considerable skillset to try and shape and mould a smash and grab victory at Liverpool on Sunday.

He's Mourinho. It's in his nature.

Roman will choose the Champions League.

Even if Chelsea go all out against Liverpool and get a result they will have let us back in it and I don't see us losing it again from having it in our hands or potentially grab it on goal difference.
