the refs are handing it to them on a plate , 96 sympathy vote, the whole country wants em to win it . Dread to think what the referee has in store for us at Anfield.

Not saying it's bent but they are getting all the decisions at the minute. 3 pens at OT and two more today. At this rate Gerrard will get the golden boot from the spot.

Don't read anything into one game here or here to convince you of how another single game in the future will be. Every game is different.

Liverpool were shite the other week against Sunderland but then mint against Tottenham; we were great at United then shite for long spells at Arsenal...we were shit in the first half yesterday but scored three goals then quality second half and only scored one...Liverpool were shit for an hour today and very dangerous for the rest of the game.

But none of that matters next week. Both teams will be up for it and the team who controls the midfield tempo and takes their chances will win.

The winners of that game will win the league.

I am still looking at it like this:

Maximum possible points.

City: 91
Liverpool: 89
Chelsea 87

Win all our home games and the away game to Palace and take a minimum of 3 points from Merseyside, so lose one and win one.

Finish on 88 points, that in my opinion will win us the league.

I just think for Liverpool to win the league they are going to have to win every game and that means matching Arsenal's 14 game winning streak, now Liverpool are an exceptional team but are they really as good as the invincibles?

If they do it then fair play they deserve it.

Liverpool looked really average today.

Agree but that won't matter a jot to them. They'd have been delighted just to get out of today with the three points and it's job done.

We must win next week imo.

A win would give us a bit of breathing space but a point would be a great result

Draw at Anfield and Goodison and as long as we win all the other games the title is ours

Liverpool's to lose imho. I'd be more than happy with a point at their place but I feel we might get a real tonking at Anfield. I also cannot see Chelsea beat them there.
