I think you’re wrong. It’s money, clubs don’t care about reputations lol that’s been clear for a long time.

There are an awful lot of clubs in England and abroad to which the soul of football means more to than money. Clubs whose owners don’t see it as a business.

There’s a reason why we booed that anthem rather than bow to the great and glorious cartel. There’s a reason the vast majority value the PL title over European success. It’s the reason so many on here are apoplectic at this news.

I don’t for a second begrudge you your opinion because you’re entitled to it, and I gather it’s based on a different sporting set up where you live, but the feeling on this forum and across England will verge on rage.

I had sit down protests at grounds when we found out standing was going to be abolished - yet we still go.

What a surprise, an american wanting rid of the FA Cup just about sums you up, it's the oldest domestic trophy still competed for.

If we as a club are no longer allowed to compete for it because of this shite, then as a match going fan I'm done, and I'll leave happy yanks like you, who have no connection to this club to watch it on a stream or tv.
