Team like Arsenal sitting in 9th are actually better off because they did fuck all the entire season, are sat in Europa, knocked out other competitions, accrued plenty of additional losses. BUT, one signature to ESL grants them about 400m, on top of the yearly royalties they would be due, and that's that. Can't really do much but laugh at how ridiculous this all is.

But we hate the champs league anyway dont we ?

No way are Liverpool City United spurs arsenal chelsea getting kicked out of league and all domestic cups . Emotions may be running high but without these 6 there is no demand no money to sustain the current model most clubs would go under .

Not gonna happen. Thats my view anyway.

I see it as a replacement of champs league only certainly in short term which for me is a good thing
No no no no no!!! You don't get it at all do you??

This isn't a replacement for the champions League, it's the creation an NFL style closed league and this is the first step.

Think about it ffs, if it went ahead and we stay in the PL we have EIGHTEEN midweek euro games before knockout. Not sustainable.

All clubs are leaving ECA. All leagues are saying they will ban clubs.

All of a sudden, the 2 groups of 10 change to a single league of 20 with post-season play offs and finals. And the transition is complete. No domestic league, no secondary cups, no separate European competition. Just one 20 team, no relegation, Americanised pan-european money machine.

Trouble is, the love for your club is "unconditional" and they know this.

I had sit down protests at grounds when we found out standing was going to be abolished - yet we still go.
Protests against the formation of the premier league - yet we still go.

Fans are less than happy with this new "super league".......we'll still go.

Because (unfortunatley/fortunately) we love Manchester City
It’s not the same. Abolition of standing wasn’t city’s choice. This is!
I don’t love this Manchester City. It’s not the one I have followed all my life

More like 3.5 billion euros

Honestly, I hope for the majority of us fans, the club are now dead to us.

I really feel that strongly about this.

Utd, Liverpool, Arse and the others gave up any pretence about giving a shit about their fans years ago and we've called them wankers for doing so particularly with our leadership repeatedly stating how the fans are the heart of our club.

Turns out it was all hollow platitudes. We mean fuck all to the leadership of our club. Less than fuck all tbh, we're actually an inconvenience as most genuine fans will be dead set against this development.

As a club we are exactly the same as those other clubs involved in this venture. And if those clubs are soulless wankers then so are City.

What are we going to do as fans about this?

Disrupt the games? Stop the home games going ahead?

I know we laughed at the Man Utd Glazer protests but I don't want to let 40 years of being a City fan just pass because I am not supporting this club in a plastic money oriented nothing league that is divorced from the rest of football. How could you be so stupid City?
