Will you consider a top 6 finish as a success next season?

anyone who thinks were going to be top 4 next season needs there head checking...

top 6 will the city's best achievement for a number of years.

This^^^^^^^

top 6 would represent a major step forward for this club irrespective of money!

People don´t seem to understand at all.

The owners put in bids for Kaka in January. Berbatov and Villa as well as Robinho in September.

They are not interested in the Europa League and they are not interested in coming 6th next season.

They do however seem to have faith in Hughes. But another underperforming season like this one and he will be gone.

And if he get the likes of Villa, Aguero etc then 6th will not be an option. The bosses quite clearly want and need Champions League football. With Villa and Everton not able to compete financially and Arsenal struggling and Wenger seemingly mulling over a move to Madrid, this is a golden opportunity, although I can see Spurs improving next year.

So the question is has Hughes got what it takes?

I agree with this, you do not target the Worlds best players to come 6th in the league. Anything below 5th and Hughes will be a goner!

Top 6 is the aim. Some people are getting to far ahead of themselves. Rags, Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal are Years ahead of City even Villa and Everton a couple of years in front.

The likes of Everton and Villa aren't really too big of a gap to breach. I already think we have a superior squad so its a question of consistency that hopefully will come with Hughes second term.

Put simply, we have to be up there with these guys, and probably Spurs. Then another couple of windows to get the squad depth right before we can challenge the top 4.

If you two were right we'd be looking for a new manager right now... as it happens, we're not. Regardless of how this saga meanders, our owners have come out of this with a lot of credit in my eyes.

Top 6 would be fukin awesome, out of this world.
I don't listen to idiots on here who demand instant success cos we throw some money around. Fukin numbnuts , they must be so ingrained in failure that any kind of good news has them grasping for something to fukin moan about -

Agree I just think there teams just have more know how in the prem than we do atm though, just look at there away form. But like you said a couple of windows with the right signing's there's no reason why we can't challange with these and maybe then step up to challenge the top 4 the year after.
