Someone corrected me which is fine,i then went on to explain that willy dives much better and gets to shots much more and on the evidence of bravo so far that is really obvious and by the way pep has dropped him as his form has been so bad

Come off it. You and I both know Bravo was on a hiding to nothing from the moment he signed. Not once did he get the benefit of the doubt by some people on here.

Don't want to derail this thread so I'll leave it at that.

Willy deserved his chance and has played well. The goal today he should have done better with in my opinion. I don't think the Swansea player put him off as much as people are saying.

not true, i'll be honest I don't rate him, but only after seeing him play for city. I didn't want joe gone but I knew from the off that it would be happening. all well and good if bravo improves us, I think its fair to say he hasn't. not in the slightest.

He got shit before his debut and then it started at full speed after that game.

Bravo would be labelled at fault yesterday (which would have been wrong) but Willy is being judged against a different measure.
To be fair Willy's bound to be judged to a different measure, probably because we all know he was just a bench warmer for last seasons first choice.Unfortunately the new first choice hasn't been a roaring success to say the least and Willy's become a safer option than Bravo.

Not the best effort at saving the goal yesterday. Almost certainly had his view blocked but let's give him the Bravo treatment for that one for the sake of balance.

However, that save from Sigurdsson's free kick was by far the best I've seen in a City shirt this season (the early one-on-one save from Neymar in the 3-1 against Barca was more important although nobody seems to remember it).

Bravo is a world class goalkeeper but we can't just wait around and hope he starts showing that for us. Personally, I'd be more than happy for Willy to be our number one until Claudio earns it back, Willy makes some genuine errors (not just the goals that you think he should have made a better attempt at saving) or the summer comes around.

Actually you and others have been corrected multiple times since August....so, I don't know, maybe wait a week or two and then you can start pushing it again.

Willy a lot more vocal nowadays, seems more confident.Fuck yeah.

At several points I thought Willy was going to get a right bollocking from Pep because Willy was so loud that he shouted over what Pep was shouting. It was constant shouting from him in the first half at the defenders, showing who's boss at the back and I guess at the same time trying to show Pep and the bench who he can become. Not just a few words but a string of instructions. He seems to connect with the fans behind the goal as well. Willy has passion and that fire in him like de Jong and Zaba. Bravo is still new so he hasn't the attachment to the club yet and may not have it at all much like Bony.

Willy sees that first choice gleaming in front of him and I think he's going to rip trees to get it, to the expense of the still settling in Bravo. Bravo can be and should be a far better keeper but unless he comes out of that shell of his, Willy looks more determined to keep the ball out of his goal.

We do look more secure with Willy in the sticks tbh although i think we really need to scout about big time over the next few months for our new number 1 for next season. Bravo is never going to come to terms with the physicality of the PL and is just to small in my opinion for our league where barging the keeper into the net is still considered an art form!
