Willy has to play in the Final

I don't blame Joe for the Spurs penalty at all. Likewise he couldn't save Eriksen second.

That said, the organisation at the set pieces vs Leicester was very poor and Joe should take his share of the responsibility for this and the overall tally of five goals conceded in 2 games.

Goalkeeper are often overconfident in not wanting players on the posts for corners or defenders on the line to defend free kicks!
Oh ffs. I'm done arguing with you. You're delusional.

LOL somebody doesn't agree with you and you accuse them of being an armchair fan. Good one! Very well argued.

Good to know you had a disbelief meter circling the stadium though. Not just a cursory chat with those around you like everyone else. You had the whole ground covered!

If Tim was there that day he would have known that all the uncertainty and most likely the result was down to speculation over mancinis job and not because of the goalie, everyone was discussing it in the coaches down to London and certainly in the ground and it overshadowed the event. Yes people wanted pants to play because he has been solid in the previous games unlike caballero.

That was pretty much the feeling in my group and various others we met up with that day.
The goalkeeping situation was just a footnote to a day spent wondering about Mancini.
The two situations are nothing alike. The opposition alone should ensure you send your very best team out, not to mention the detrimental knock on effect a defeat against the media champions would bring.
We need to show the watching world that we're still the best the premier league has to offer, not become a laughing stock because our keeper can't catch...

Yes bob I sank my ciders on the roundabout in record pace after hearing of Mancini's sacking.

The selection of Joe was the straw that broke the camel's back because even under extreme pressure, we thought Roberto would make the right call!

It is a final.

In a final, you play your best 11 available.

That includes the goalkeeper.

No room for sentiment, because Willy has started the previous rounds.

Joe has to be in net.

Tim, this has clearly been a call from MP as his preferred style of defending set pieces / corners rather than JH personal preference.
