Seriously if he does pick his Willy for this I might well disappear when the team is announced, smoke a cigar outside, and disappear to Campden or somewhere they don't even know there's a game on.
Bye then

manuel better hope that this decision doesn't destroy his already fragile relationship with many fans. Anything but a flawless performance from his goalkeeper and things will get ugly I reckon.
Brave choice on his part - we'll find out soon enough wherever it's the right one.
Usual culprits moaning like Karen etc. We know he's the cup keeper so he's gonna play what's so hard to understand?
Spot on. If you have a cup policy for the 2nd keeper, then you have to stick to your word and pick him until the conclusion of the cup run. It isn't a sign strong management to go back on this unless in response to a dramatic loss of form, rather the complete opposite. furthermore it could potentially send out the wrong message to Joe Hart, in that he can rest on his laurels because there is an evener slim chance of him being dropped for Willy.
Anyone else remember what happened in the build up to the last league cup final?
Lescott was back up in the league, but played every minute of every round in the league cup, even captained a few. It was his last year at City and he was due to leave in the summer, most expected him to start in recognition of that and his efforts in getting us to the final
Instead, Manuel dropped him to the bench and started Demichelis - who was directly culpable in us conceding the opening goal as it happened.
So, what's it going to be Manuel?
You've shown you can be ruthless before, but is that only when it benefits one of your favourites?
This will be a very tight game against Liverpool and it's likely there won't be much in it. For any attempts at rationalising this with the example of starting Pantillimon, for a start he's a better keeper than Caballero, and Sunderland are a poorer side than Liverpool. Caballero will be tested on Sunday, make no mistake. The margins will be tighter in this game than they were against Sunderland.
Choosing sentiment and picking Caballero over Joe could literally be the difference between us winning or losing on Sunday.
There is no sound rationale to not starting Joe, none whatsoever. Caballero is a clearly inferior goalkeeper, he's leaving in the summer, and he's in poor form. To chose him ahead of Joe would be to put personal relationships, and some kind of attempt to maintain an illusionary interpersonal integrity, ahead of what's best for Manchester City Football Club.
It Caballero starts and we narrowly lose the game to one of his errors then Pellegrini wants shooting IMO, let alone sacking.
Depends if he has a blinder or not. He's capable of a top performance but I'm not filled with confidence after seeing his slapstick act against Chelsea.Surely everyone already knows it's not ??
