Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

Amazing -peformance.
First Wimbledon in a while I've properly engaged in.
It's a great sport to play. My dad made me play almost every day as a kid but I loved it and would play for hours and hours into the dark (we had a local community club in our town).

He died when I was a kid but that lasting legacy of sport has seen me through some up and down times over the years and why at 50 I keep doing something every day.

Think I'm gonna dust off my Wilson had hit a few balls again (no euphemism intended)....
I was a bit worried about you dusting off your Wilson! Enjoy!!

When will the serve and volley come back into tennis and Wimbledon, it was all over and done in under 2 hours
Funny when you look back at the old Wimbledon, the courts with worn patchy grass down the middle and not on the baseline like today's courts
I said that to friends before Wimbledon. I used to really look forward to Wimbledon and have been known to just change the plug on the TV when it flew out of the socket during a thunder and lightning storm! (Virginia Wade year)
I think the best this year was the wheelchair tennis, there was more movement, more excitement to me than the wham bam, thank you man of the main manages.
I’m not bothered about the speed of the serve, more in the finesse of play.
I know, I know, I’m an old codger but I saw the very best over the years. :-)

So a 17 year old kid from England wins the first British boys' singles champion at Wimbledon since 1962 and that's your first thought ? when you have zero clue how far he could go.
He was joking!!
I just hope that he paces himself and listens to older heads and doesn’t burn himself out.
I’m not a great fan of Murray’s as a person (my bad I know) but the new boys Champion would do well to listen to him. :-) IMHO

Ah fair enough, take that back then.

it's totally just about impossible to break into the men's championship and get on the tour if you're not good enough to beat anybody in the top 100, Yes if you have something special that you can take into the men's game and beat somebody in the top 100 then you have a chance and you will stand out pretty quick,

First British boys' singles champion at Wimbledon since 1962 is a great honour, but the hard work starts Monday morning when people and the media are mapping out your path to glory already

My son took an instant dislike to Andy when he said something less than positive about the England football team.
