Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

Ok, she has had injury problems but she seems to not understand how to sustain her career. She keeps sacking coaches with the ludicrous statement that she knows more than they do. I don’t think her father helps the cause much. She needs a complete rethink and some hard advice. If she doesn’t do that her career is over.
A terrible pity for one who is a major talent.
I don't think she has the physicality needed for the demands of the game at the highest level. Her body keeps breaking down - which isn't good for someone of her age.

I think she got lucky in one tournament, has done nowt since, seems to be very weak physically and mentally. She’s got less hunger than me on a Saturday night before a kebab. She is minted for life though

She really does seem a lovely girl and very easy on the eye too. Like you, I think her mentality is all wrong and she will end up being a one hit wonder. I hope I’m wrong as it would be a shame.

Great final. Overall in the men’s side it was pretty poor tournament but that final was brilliant. Don’t get the hatred for Djokovic. He’s proven himself as the best ever against the 2nd and 3rd best ever who we’re always the crowds favourites

Not really sure why they say Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray defined an era

The likes of Warwrinka won as many grand slams as Murray
Probably because Murray reached miles more finals and semi’s than Stan. He won 2 Olympic golds and was consistently in the top 4 alongside the other 3. Also started to beat the other 3 consistently. Beating Djokovic to in the world finals and become world number 1. He was in the semi’s of the French and outplaying Stan(favourite to retain Wimbledon) at about 28 when his hips fell apart. Stan was also a great player with unbelievable power that could on his day beat any of the big 3. Not in the same class for consistency as Murray though.
