Often mentioned in the media about the Etihad but no mention of empty seats at Wimbedon.Is tennis failing as a sport in the UK

Possibly some of this was down to it being the wettest in 25 years.

Might also be prohibitively expensive and/or some of the bigger names are missing/retired atm.

There's new stars such as Alcaraz, but no Fed or Nadal (Djokovich perhaps, but he's still a bit of pantomime villain.

I missed the end of the match but I see Djokovic had a pop at fans who were clearly saying Ruuuune and not booing the narcissistic tosser. Or were they saying Boo-urns?

For someone with ‘20 years on tour’ who’s played in ‘Far more intimidating atmospheres’ it seems odd that a bit of pantomime booing clearly rattled him so much.

I guess it’s why TV stations like to interview players immediately after the game is over, to catch them in an emotional state, with their guard down.
