But Sloan Stephens from USA did a similar thing just this afternoon and had to withdraw. So it isn’t just Brits is it?

I think she's decent, you can see she has plenty of ability, and has won a major tournament.

She's still on the comeback from a lot of injuries and surgeries and definitely playing much better than she had been, so she's definitely going in the right direction. She's beaten some very good players this wimbledon.

I wouldn't write her off yet if she can stay injury free and get some momentum over the course over a year or two. There's definitely a proper player in there.
