Windows 10

I meant until a fix become available if one isn't already out there, it isn't really that much of a hassle to do if you don't add new desktop items every day and even if you did it literally takes a minute to do.
True although I don't know if it's specific to Pudge or not, even if it's not MS have been known to not fix some bugs at all.

@pudge, open 2 explorer windows and copy & paste the following into the address bars and post screenshots (you may need to turn on show hidden items in the view tab):

C:\Users\Public\Desktop
C:\Users\xxxx\Desktop (replace xxxx with whatever your user name is)

Iv'e got 10 now and when running it's all good, but it's very slow to start up and shut down and to switch between user accounts, any ideas ?

Check what programs are launching at boot in task manager. Stop the ones that aren't necessary. Will make a huge difference.

What spec computer are you running it on? There may also be an issue with your hard drive if it's coming to the end of its life. How old is it?

Good point ideally you should have 8 gig of ram but could run it on 4 if you prioritise, ram isn't that expensive and you should check your motherboards specs to see if you can upgrade using belarc advisor or similar tool.

This seems massively over the top. I have an old dual core laptop with 4gb of RAM running absolutely perfectly, no prioritising of programs, no slow-down on anything basic. obviously struggles with resource intensive programs, but no way you'd need more than 4GB for everyday use!
