Winter Soups. Whats your favourite?

I love home made soups. However, Heinz tomato is emotional. Reminds me of being a kid. On the odd occassion I was ever ill and off school my mum would warm some up for me. Transports me back in time.

My dad used to toss some white pepper in, make a batch of chips, and pour it all over. Lovely stuff. Takes me right back every time as well.

SWMBO does a great Leek and Potato and a superb water cress too.. I like the water cress as it's super peppery!!

Whilst my Maud makes belting homemade soup, as a winter soup Aldi does a rather tasty Lamb and Mint hotpot soup one tin and a slice or two of toast jobs a good un.

I do all the cooking in our house except soup making. My wife uses ones of these and you can make great soups with hardly any effort. Frozen peas, leeks, onions and potatoes plus a few stock cubes makes a really nice one.

Perfect soup, every time!
