I think same team as against Huddersfield but with Walker for Stones/Kompany and Sterling for Jesus. Sterling and Walker have both had rests after the World Cup so I think Stones will get one too.

Ederson

Walker - Kompany - Laporte

Fernandinho - Gundogan

Bernardo - Silva - Mendy

Aguero - Sterling

Jesus had one of his best games Sunday why rest him? More likely Bernardo drops to bench to rotate for sterling or Leroy imo.

I think people are looking at this wrong. How he played against Huddersfield won’t be the main factor in deciding whether he also starts against Wolves. We played 2 strikers for one reason and one reason only - because Huddersfield park the bus against us. I could be wrong, but I think it’s reasonable to predict that Wolves will not be doing that. So I see a switch back to one striker. And that has to be Aguero right now. So Jesus will be on the bench for tactical reasons.

Sterling definitely starts for me. He was unbelievably sharp in first game since the World Cup at Arsenal. He will tear their right (or left) side apart. He’s had a couple of weeks rest and will be raring to go again.

...and a big City win. I like Wolves but they won’t know what’s hit them. They won’t have seen anything like this (I’ve not forgotten the league cup - completely different) and their downfall could be to try to attack us.

Yeh I think the same lineup with Sterling in for Bernado.

It's never been more difficult to predict a City side than it is now.

Beyond Ederson and Aguero I don't know. I thought Kyle Walker was an automatic starter but seemingly not.

Suspect Sterling and Sane will come back in. I'm wondering whether Sane and Mendy can link together or whether it's one or the other. They both provide width in the City side. Sane has more goals in him, but Mendy's crossing is the best I have seen.

The only certain starter is Ederson, but the options Pep has at his disposal are incredible (even without KDB) so who knows what the starting 11 will be.

I would be tempted to bring back Walker and also look at playing either Sane or Sterling up front to add pace to our frontline.
