They will probably setup the same way as when they visited us with 3-5-2, it will be hard for our wingers to find space. I hope we will not insist on the long crosses like last time, I will start Aguero if is ready for a full game, he is better in small spaces and offers more variety in attach, Jesus can start against Sheff, if Silva was fit this game will suit him too. Keep the rest of the team as is, It's payback time.

Agueros not ready for full game also
And silvas not ready at all nor stones pep said in his presser.

So what happens if/when Gabriel Jesus gets injured? Unfortunately we have no suitable strikers in the EDS set-up, so an experienced striker is in my view a necessity. He doesn't have to be a big money signing, maybe a 30yr old just to carry us through any emergencies now that three cup runs look likely.
We can make the same argument for every position. And we'll then need a 30 yearold in every position that already has 2 players. Injuries happen. We can't by a backup at every position in case of injury.

Worse still, no one we buy would be a better option than Sterling or Debryune or Sane when he returns. Having been in the system for years counts more than a journeyman 30 yearold sitting around waiting for multiple injuries.

Wolves have two games in 45 hours, us then Scousers. They will target 1 game with their primary 11 to get three points and toss the other game as I don't think they have enough strength in depth to seriously cope with two games against the top 2 teams (quality, not league position) in such a short period. Guess which one they'll go balls out in?

It's inevitable that they'd prioritise their home game in this scenario.

They don't have the squad to rotate 7 or 8 players, that's why we need to come flying out of the blocks on this one and kill the game as early as possible so they give up and start saving themselves for the Liverpool game.

The home game against a side they’re set up very well to exploit having had a week to prepare or an away game against unbeaten top of the league in a situation that already favours their opponent as they have the better and bigger squad to rotate. It’s perfectly understandable if they did that.

Besides, given we play them first, we can make that decision for them. Come out flying, put the game to bed early and have an easy ride as both teams accept the result and prioritise the second game before the first is finished.
