Bench: Kit man 1, assistant to the kit man, boot man, assistant to boot man, kit man's dog, tea lady, tea lady's cat.

And yes, the kit man and assistant to boot man track back. Tea lady decent in goal, as expected the cat is rubbish and is simply filling out the bench so Pep doesn't get stick for not naming18.

And as laughable United were on saturday, it was clear that they were miles away from being match-fit. All though we are a much better organised side with superior individuals, I don't think we have had the time to get anywhere near the fitness we need either. In an ideal world our players should definitely had a couple of full games against somewhat decent teams before we embark on a competive game against a very intensive Wolves side, who has already looked good this season.

Wont blame anyone at the club if we don't look prepared tonight because the schedule from the restart has been a farce imo, but for the title race itd far from ideal if these first games ends up being throw-aways.

On the other hand, we looked superb after the restart last season after only playing ourselves, so who knows

I am not that excited about the start of the season than i used to be before. May be Messi and koulabaily saga has taken its toll. Plus we are not that fit squad wise. Wolves has already played 2 games.

...............ederson
Walker... stones...Ake...cancelo
................Rodri
Bernardo...debruyne...foden...sterling
................Jesus
Foden/bernardo should help stop the counter attack and defend.

Is Bernardo in the squad??

I reckon

Ederson
Walker Stones Ferna Ake
Rodri
KDB Foden
Mahrez Jesus Sterling

That's why I think we're going to see a lot of the players who racked up 2 international games already.

What's with the negativity just excited to see us play and hopefully win, could not care less how other sides are doing and if our chances of the league look unlikely can we not just enjoy that football is back.

Please no Fernandinho in the backline. Hope it's Stones and Aké. Also hope Ferran starts. Really looking forward to both debuts, hope that's the case.

You did watch Arsenal and Lyon games didn’t you?

Surely both have to start. If they don’t what will be the logic?

The logic would be both of them having had just a handful of training sessions in a new team and in a system that typically takes months to fully adapt to. I don’t think Torres will start, we have sterling and mahrez fit and available in those positions, I do think Ake will start though more out of necessity with the problems we have.

Unfortunately I did, not the point. We easily beat Arsenal the first game back after the corona-break without breaking a sweat. Whether we come unstuck because of tactical flaws or lack of ideas is not my primary concern, I leave that to Pep to get wrong or right. Match-fitness could be a problem though, a problem that has been out of our hands to rectify but left to face the consuquenses of
