How the fuck that foul on Bernie wasn't a red card i'll never know, their player even looked up before he did it
Aw blessWow you really have it out for us since I posted lol
Admittedly I haven’t even seen the tackle I drove home and went to sleep. I didn’t think anything of it as there was no var check in the stadium? I will look though. I wouldn’t say couple of chances if you had it the other way round, you’d be saying you battered us lol
No idea why we won’t make a risky forward pass, given that we’re more than happy to make hugely risky backwards passes!A forward can't play without support. He made a lot of runs but City were never going to make the risky forward pass last night. I'd be amazed if City buy another forward. I regard Marmoush as a very good signing. He will be a lot better alongisde Haaland and in front of a midfield that can play early balls and support him with runs. None of that happened yesterday as City were in game management mode for the entire 2nd half, rightly so with the players available.
We are 3rd, just behind Arsenal who are a young side who should be at their peak whilst we have a catalogue of aging players and injuries. I think Pep did make mistakes in the Summer transfer market and took a very long time to trust in the younger players, but eventually he found a system that will work
You usually are wrong so all good on the Marmoush frontAll of those were terrible. Nunes re-wrote the book on terrible tonight. I can't bear him, but he has been better recently. Tonight? Oh the humanity.
Marmoush...it's early doors on him, but I'm not seeing it. I hope I am wrong.
Doku's doing a good job and was my motm. Savinho flatters to deceive far too much, although I feel there's a good player in there somewhere. It would be good to see Marmoush playing in the middle latching onto some good quality through balls.I think it's a consequence of playing Doku on the left, we need to balance it and play someone wide on the right. Unfortunately Marmoush was put there and not as effective as in previous games where the main width was provided by the full backs. The Doku/Savinho conundrum is one that Pep needs to solve if we are going to challenge next season.
Lol70m on Marmoush won't age well . He won't play much next year .
its rewritting a history with Julian and by many. Alvarez wanted to play nine and he wouldnt with Haaland. Pep gave him all the time he could but at the end of the day during most important games it had to be Haaland, KDB and very in form Foden. Alvarez wanted to go to be a starting eleven player and club received the very good fee for him. Its as simple story as could be and it was a right move.Julian Alvarez is confused by this post.
The game was never going to be a firecracker but it was good in parts.A win's a win. Unexciting fare for the most part though.
He's going to have to improve his one on one's ' .. it' Sterlingesque at the moment. Also his shooting is a bit wayward.. mind you he's not alone in that!its rewritting a history with Julian and by many. Alvarez wanted to play nine and he wouldnt with Haaland. We had problems because we could bring someone like Omar in the summer, but nobody expected that Foden gonna fall of the cliff, Savinho wont get any goals + KDB, Grealish injuries.
Omar is a very good player, he had good impact since come in and gonna be even better next season.
Shooting is tough aspect of this business, it really is. Omar is a good shooter as he showed at Eintracht and had few good shots for us (he strucked the ball on the volley against United from like 25 yards - it was very high quality attempt). Yesterday he had 2 attempts and both should have been taken much better. For me its clearly the sign hes still adopting to the place, to the league, a little too nervous, gonna get more comfortable as the time passes. the player is definitely there. He's going to have to improve his one on one's ' .. it' Sterlingesque at the moment. Good analysis. This was the proverbial workmanlike performance. The boys put in a shift even if the quality was sadly lacking. I hope Marmoush has more in his locker than he displayed last night although you can't fault the lads commitment. Overall these vital three points doesn't hide the fall off in quality all round this season. Gonzales is potentially a big worry but let's hope for the best on that front.Thought we were pretty poor overall. Can’t remember Sa making a save. But only the results matter. Don’t know what Marmoush on the right was all about, it just didn’t work and i’m really confused about what’s happening with Nico Gonzales. Fair play to Kovacic and Bernardo. Thought they were very good.

It is, but if we continue to ignore the clear opportunities to play Erling in - as we did, again, with a frustrated Marmoush on a few occasions last night - we still won't be fully exploiting himIt is good that Haaland and Rodri are nearing a return.
