One of our old players, Mark Kennedy, who was at the Etihad said that City were poor today, and if we'd played a top six side , we'd have lost ... and although i saw a few things I liked, I kinda agree with his assessment.
We won, which is always the most important thing, and both goals were well taken .... we also hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions .... but we gave the ball away too many times, and the fluency, flair and atmosphere suffered, giving us a pretty dour match overall to watch.
Wolves defensive tactics hardly helped, and one or two of their challenges left a lot to be desired, but Pep's frustration was evident again, as he watched Seminyos shot that canonned off the bar stand as probably our only effort at breaking the 2nd half boredom.
It's three points, and a 'clean sheet' .. but it was hardly entertainment.
On the plus side Guehi had a steady enough debut, and blocked one or two shots ... and Bernardo ran himself into the ground.
