Wolves (H) Post Match Thread

The abuse Edgehill got was absolutely disgusting and it's the only time in my life that I have ever been ashamed to be a blue, listening to it all on the kippax. I would not mind but it was after injuries and he was nowhere near as bad as people were making out. Just goes to show that people were cunts, long before social media gave them a voice. To this day I still can't believe that we ruined the confidence of a local lad who was trying his best.
All very commendable, but he was shit.

Another good performance played at our own pace for the majority of the game, main thing was we went up the gears as and when needed showing we had plenty in reserve.

Kev still looks a bit rusty but I'm in no doubt he'll get better game by game.
Just shows what a team we have when you start thinking are we better off playing with or without him.

Actually he was far from shit. He was a good, solid, full back. And he was one of our players at a time when most players in this country wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole.

Unfortunately he was also an easy target for overweight, BO-stinking, cowardly wankers to take out the stress of their own unhappy, undervalued shithole lives on.

The abuse he got off “top top blues” was disgusting then and no less so now.

No he wasn't at all. He was very good before his injuries and on the verge of international honours. He was never the same player after he came back and then the bullies got on his case. He was not mentally strong enough to overcome it and he became a shadow of the player he once was.

Regardless of how you judge his ability, he did not deserve the abuse he got and none of the arseholes who gave him shit would have had the bottle to abuse him to his face.

The step up when they equalised was something else.

Also, that first half performance was complete and total domination. In every single facet. We didn’t just have the football, they didn’t get within 10 yards of our box.

Something is happening this season. I genuinely think this is Peps greatest team in his career.

We really must win the champions league. It has to happen this season.

Delighted with that win, great the way we pummelled them after their goal & 3 minute spell when they looked quick on the break. Such determination & belief. Thought Laporte was very good & deprived of a goal again by VAR.
Mahrez was very good again, Walker solid in the 2nd half. I’m a huge fan of Rodri but he was dawdling again at times & got caught out several times.
That was a really impressive 2nd half, almost like shackles were lifted.

We are awesome. No works of art (by our standards) at this stage of the season, but the way we stepped it up was from another planet. As 1.618034 correctly says, Wolves made the mistake of scoring and making us angry.

At least we could celebrate it eventually, which we wouldn't without VAR.
To be fair neither were given as offside, so without VAR would have stood, and with VAR trying to knock them off they still stood, Laporte's goal however was fine, and then manipulated.

Also their free kick leading to the goal wasn't a foul either.

They got one of our goals chalked off tonight, tried to get 2 more chalked off, and awarded a free kick that wasn't, that gave them a goal.

After all that, we still won 4-1, fuck the cheating twats, they're not good enough.
