Four games in 12 days with one 120 minutes and then trips to London, Brighton and Forest. Not shocking they looked off today. Silver lining of Madrid tie is they'll avoid playing this week and can be 100% focused on this one.
I was talking to my mate yesterday and our general feelings were that it was probably a blessing in disguise going out to Madrid. Absolutely gutted and empty at the time, but if we'd had to shoe horn another two games these next 2 midweek then I dread to think what the outcome be. And I doubt he'd of played anything like the teams he played against Chelsea and Forest yesterday which might in itself caused us mither.

On paper this is the easiest game we've got left. Wolves aren't a bad side at all on their day but they're in poor form and have sod all to play for. It's one of our last home games and everyone can see it's a must win, so I hope the lads can get the job done. Glad we've finally got a week to rest a bit. Feels like such a long time since we had an actual week in between games.

These players, barring injuries / illness, should be nailed on starters - Ake, Akanji, Gvardiol, Rodri, Kova, KDB, Foden, Haaland. Add in the keeper, not that fussed who and it's perm two from Dias, Stones, Walker, Grealish, Bernardo. The likes of Doku, Bobb, Lewis, Nunes on the bench. No excuses now, business end of the season, keep 11 players on the pitch, remove VAR from the process and we win the league.

Is everything ok with the trains next Saturday? I thought I’d read Northern had a window of ‘short of strike’ action of which next Saturday was the last day.
Following taken from Northern Fail website.
Between 29th April and 4 May (during 'action short of strike'), we expect some late notice cancellations to services, particularly the first and last services of the day.
The majority of services will be running as planned on these days, but please check before travelling, as close to the time as possible as short notice cancellations are likely.

He'll be a starter for the Fulham & Spurs game, not sure we'll need him for Wolves at home.

I wouldn't be against him starting mind.
the turnaround for kova has been immense, eh was roundly derided as crap not so long ago, so credit where its due for him.

Yep, cheers bud - I’d seen that and got a bit concerned cos was planning to get a late (after 11pm train home on Saturday). Just have to work around it I guess, but these “short notice” cancellations are worse. In some ways an actual strike is easier to cope with …

As I said, he wasn’t yet settled. He hadn’t played in the Fulham before those two either. Fret not, it’s merely an observation not criticism. Barring injury or suspension, he’s a nailed on starter.
i did not fret.
