Wolves PL (A) | Post Match Discussion

We could have had 98% possession, 68 shots, and 23 on target, we'd still have only scored one.

We were shite against Newcastle and we were shite today.

You think stats matter more than goals? Blame the referee?
That's a very desperate bit of straw clinging you're doing there.
Some fans on here seem to have scouser syndrome, always the victim and its always someone else's fault (usually the refs) when we fail to win. We should be able to beat Wolves, one of the worst teams in the league, regardless of how good or bad a ref is. People can blame injuries all they want but I think thats a bit silly when not a single player on that Wolves team today would start for us. It was just a very bad game from us, and hopefully the players realise and accept this so they can learn from it and improve going forward instead of finding excuses like many of our fans on here. Every team lose games, and sometimes the ball just doesn't go in even if you create enough to get the goals. But today was not one of those days, we didn't create enough high quality chances and the performance was simply not good enough.

Every team does it to the max versus us as the refs give them absolutely everything
No, that was worse than I've seen in a long time. After the Korean stayed on the pitch at half time for the worst tackle of the match they obviously worked out how much they could get away with, and it worked. Pawson has always been the same, books innocuous fouls minor infringements then shies away from worse ones later because he knows he'll have to send them off.

True, but we never really got anything in to him as our midfield creativity was lacking and our other attacking players were off it as well.
The service was shocking but for such a big unit he is easily bullied off the ball, that has to change.
